Physics Wins, Biology is How it’s Done: An Exploration of Ecosystem-Atmosphere Interactions Professor Dennis Baldocchi Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management University of California, Berkeley Professor Baldocchi studies gas (e.g., CO2, water vapor and isoprene) and energy exchanges between vegetation (e.g., forest, crop, etc.) and the atmosphere. He is one of the most cited researchers in the scientific community with more than 37 thousand citations at last count and one of the top two most cited in Agricultural Sciences (Google Scholar). He is Co-PI of the AmeriFlux Management Project, the recipient of numerous research and teaching awards, Fellow of the American Geophysical Union and member of advisory boards for national and international organizations and projects.
