Roundtable 1: Public Building Projects, District Heating Projects Moderator: Gustaf Landahl, Climate and Environmental Strategist, City of Stockholm Stockholm has implemented several innovative solutions to overcome hurdles, which could be benchmarked elsewhere too. How did it start, how has it developed to what it is now and where is it going. What are the learning points concerning district heating.

Roundtable 2: Public Lighting Projects Moderators: Silvio De Nigris, Head Unit Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Efficiency, Metropolitan City of Torino Tamas Solymosi, Leader, Mobilising Finance, Covenant of Mayors Public lighting is a major municipal energy cost item, with major profitable smart upgrade project potential. Aggregating projects, cooperating with utilities can solve several key hurdles blocking progress. Municipalities representing about one-third of the EU population have signed the Covenant of Mayors, accessing its public lighting capacity building too.

Roundtable 3: Financing Energy Efficiency in Buildings Moderator: Joanna Wis-Bielewicz, Director Central-Eastern Europe, CDP , TBC Buildings account for about 40% of energy consumption, a large part of which could be saved with economic measures. A host of nontechnical barriers result in huge untapped potential. Join this table to understand the pitfalls in financing energy efficiency in Buildings, and ways to overcome hurdles.

Background: European Utility Week (EUW) EUW is a leading annual conference and exhibition of the European utilities industry. In 2014, it had 9,167 attendees, 85% of them from Europe. 35% of the attendees were final decision-makers. There were 1,949 conference delegates, attending 29 strategic sessions. Within the exhibition, in the case study programme, there were over 170 case study presentations. This year, it is co-organised with the traditional ESCO event organised by Synergy Events. Cities’ experience presented at EUW 2015 include among others Amsterdam, Geneva, London, Hannover, Konstanz, Linz, Ljubljana, Riga, Salzburg, Stockholm, Vienna, and Vilnius.
