To all Rockland environmental friends, You are invited to: The Rockland County EMC (Environmental Management Council) Potluck Picnic - A Zero Waste Event! & EMC's Second Annual "Green Champion" Award Ceremony, this year's recipient: Keep Rockland Beautiful! Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 5:30pm - to about 8pm Haverstraw Bay County Park Pavilion, along the shore of the Hudson River *directions at the bottom of this email* 21 Gagan Road, Haverstraw, NY Please bring a dinner dish to share (large enough to serve about 15-20 people) and serving spoon. The EMC members will supply: juice, soda, water, ice, and their dinner dish to share. No alcohol allowed in the park. Rain or shine. Please bring your family and friends. No RSVP- it's a potluck in the true sense of the word. This year I am pleased to announce we are partnering with Janet Burnet of the Solid Waste Management Authority, who will be supplying compostable cups, plates, utensils, etc. They will also be setting up their composting and recycling stations. Please see attached flier for how we will all make this a "Zero Waste Event"! Thank you to Solid Waste Management Authority! At about 6:30pm we will present Keep Rockland Beautiful with their "Green Champion" Award, so please join us in celebrating the great environmental work of KRB! *Directions to Haverstraw Bay County Park: From Route 9W travel east on Railroad Avenue (County Route 94), Railroad Avenue becomes Grassy Point Road (County Route 108), turn right onto Gagan Road (County Route 109). Park is adjacent to Haverstraw Marina. No parking for buses over 19 feet. Bridge Restriction: 10 ton limit.
