This position also provides ongoing outreach to agencies and community leaders to cultivate and maintain support and understanding of HMIS. This position reports to the Community Services Manager. Interested candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in project management, non-profits and data and reporting. This position requires excellent organization, communication and computer skills and the ability to work within a team structure. Position Type Full-Time / Exempt Salary Information Salary range available beginning at $40,899.04 annually based on education and experience. HMIS Program Coordinator Description: The Department of Community Development is seeking an enthusiastic, organized Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Program Coordinator. This person will provide leadership and guidance for the day-to-day operations of the HMIS, conduct HMIS planning, budgeting, manage ongoing training and technical support for the system, and provide ongoing outreach to agency and community leadership to cultivate and maintain support and understanding of HMIS.

The HMIS Program Coordinator’s responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:        

Establish/review/monitor guidelines and procedures for HMIS security and confidentiality Oversee HMIS contractors Manage HMIS team Participate in Decade to Doorways Results Action Team Work with Decade to Doorways Leadership to determine additional reporting needs Facilitate application and reporting requirements for funding resources for HMIS Provide operation, security, maintenance, record access auditing, and technical support of HMIS Software Design community reports

HMIS Program Coordinator Job Duties Proactive on HMIS needs, expansion possibilities Provides leadership and guidance for day-to-day operations of the HMIS Supports HMIS functionality Conducts HMIS planning, budgeting, and invoice approval activities Advocates for the needs of the database Facilitates application and reporting requirements for funding resources for HMIS (CoC application) Develops and maintains HMIS policy and procedures, including the Data Quality Standard and Compliance/Monitoring Plan Establishes/reviews/monitors guidelines and procedures for HMIS security and confidentiality Oversees HMIS contractors Provides ongoing outreach to agency and community leadership to cultivate and maintain support and understanding of HMIS Oversees management of user accounts, access levels, and passwords Ensures operation, security, maintenance, system performance auditing, and technical support of HMIS Central hardware, software, and connectivity Provides operation, security, maintenance, record access auditing, and technical support of HMIS Software Conducts security testing Provides technical support for HMIS software/hardware Oversees end-user support for HMIS software/hardware Manages ongoing training and technical support for the system Manages regular end-user meetings to discuss software updates, data entry problems, and troubleshooting Develops and coordinates regular end-user meetings to discuss privacy and confidentiality Monitors integrity of data collected (Data Quality Standard) Monitors data collection practices Conducts data analysis and interpretation Generates program, agency, and/or CoC level reports Designs community reports Approves and disseminates community reports Works with Decade to Doorways Leadership to determine additional reporting needs Participates in Decade to Doorways Results Action Team Actively seeks out additional users to expand coverage, use and financial support for system Manages HMIS team
