Graduate students have the opportunity to present their work at the Spring 2017 College of Social Sciences Dean’s Student Colloquium to be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Steps: 1. Choose a research/creative project to present. This project can be a class project, or a project for your capstone/culminating experience (for example, a master’s thesis/report) that you have already completed or would complete by the end of Spring 2017 semester. 2. The project can be a team project or a single-person (solo) project. 3. The project can employ any one or a combination of research approaches and methods—for example, archival research, case studies, performances, ethnographic study, qualitative methods, content analysis, and quantitative tests. 4. Identify a faculty sponsor and obtain her/his permission. 5. Using the application form and instructions provided on next two pages, submit your proposal to
[email protected] by February 27, 2017, 5 pm. 6. If your proposal is selected for presentation, prepare a draft power point presentation, secure your sponsor’s approval, and email the sponsor’s approval and the presentation to
[email protected] by April 10, 2017. 7. Include the feedback received on the draft presentation and email the final power point presentation to
[email protected] by April 24, 2017, 5 pm. 8. Present your work on April 26, 2017. Plan for a 10-12-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion.

CoSS Dean’s Student Colloquium: Application Instructions The proposal should not exceed two pages (excluding the cover page and the bibliography page) and must contain the following sections. Use one-inch margins and a 12-point font. A.
