COMMUNITY MEETING NOTICE CITY OF MOBILE COMMUNITY & HOUSING DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AFFIRMATIVELEY FURTHERING FAIR HOUSING PLAN The City of Mobile’s Community and Housing Development Department is in the process of developing its Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Plan (AFFH Plan) as required for accepting funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD’s) formula programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Act (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). The purpose of the AFFH Plan is to identify gaps, needs, and potential resolutions as they pertain to Fair Housing in the City of Mobile. The Community Meeting will afford the public an opportunity to make comments and be involved in the discussion and development of the AFFH Plan. The Community Meeting will be held on June 19, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Bernheim Hall at the City of Mobile’s Ben May Main Library located at 701 Government Street Mobile, AL, 36602.
