Subject: Irregular retention of balances under" Mahila Samridhi Yojna". Sir / Madam, The undersigned is directed to refer to this office letter of even number dated 27.04.2011 (SB order No. 6/2011. It has been reported by DDG (PAF) Postal Directorate vide letter no.PA/BK-II/MSY /2015-16 that a huge balances is still lying outstanding under the Head MH8013 (MSY Accounts) during the venr 2013-14 and 2014-15 resulting in repeated objection raised by the C& AG Audit Report on the Accounts of the union Government in the years 2013-14 and 2014-15. To liquidate the outstanding balances the procedure laic down ill the aforesaid directorate order may be followed by closing all these accounts bJ'.way of charging service charge of Rs. 20/- per year or if the balance in account is below Rs.20/- the whole balance in the account. From the above reference received from DDG (PAF), it is observed that most of the Circles have-not followed the procedure laid down in 5B ORDER6/2011 enclosed for ready reference. There is an urgent need to take immediate action to implement this order to liquidate the huge balance lying under the head and arrive at the exact amount left under scheme for taking further decisions. Kindly intimate the following information
