Congratulations to the following graduates……… Katie Frieh, daughter of Shirley and Kirk Frieh, graduated on May 19th from the Central New York Regional Law Enforcement Academy. Upon graduation, she became a Deputy Sheriff for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in Syracuse, New York. Katie is a sworn member of the police patrol division in the Sheriff’s Office. Emma Rehrauer, daughter of Debra and David Rehrauer, is graduating from the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart in June. She will be attending Niagara University in September and received several merit scholarships, including a Vincentian Scholar award for her service work on mission trips to El Salvador with Young Life Christian Ministry.

Five bags of non-perishable foods were donated by the congregation and taken to St. Vincent de Paul’s Food Pantry in early May. Thank you for your generosity! “Ride for Roswell” is scheduled for June 24th. Anyone who wishes to donate in support of participants Alan and Maggie Henderson and Nancy Sikora, can give their donation directly to them (through the end of July). Checks should be made out to “Ride for Roswell.” Nancy will be with the Thoracic Park team supporting Lung Cancer Research. Maggie and Alan are signed up for the general team.

CHANCEL FLOWERS Sign- up sheets for chancel flowers are posted on the board outside The Quiet Room. If you desire to have flowers placed in the sanctuary in honor or in memory of someone, or in celebration of a special occasion, please sign up as early as possible for your desired date. Cash or checks (payable to the “Board of Deacons” with “Flowers” written in the lower left-hand corner) may be placed in the offering plate. Cost is $22.50.

Guests: • Ray Smith and Frank (owner) from Frank’s Foundation and Drainage Specialists, spoke to us regarding our flooding problems in Fellowship Hall. A long discussion ensued with many questions from Session members. More information will be forthcoming along with estimates for repair. Session will then be called to a special meeting to make a decision about repairs. Welcome: • Recently-elected Session members Jason Cherry, Sr. and Christine Whipkey were welcomed, as well as Elder Sharon Haefner (re-elected). • Pastor Sirianni expressed concern about attendance and requested that elders and deacons make an effort to attend Sunday worship services as we need to present ourselves as models to the congregation. Youth Sunday: • Our thanks go out to Debra Fultz for a successful Youth Sunday worship service on Mother’s Day (May 14th)! Debbie always does such an excellent job with our children! Sacrament of Baptism: • Elder Marilyn Koukal will assist Pastor Sirianni in the baptism of Mateo Saunders on June 11th. Vacation Bible School: • VBS will be held Sunday, August 6th through Thursday, August 10th (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.) Miscellaneous: • Windows in our Church School rooms still need to be washed (inside and outside). • Plans are ready to go for building our Lending Library. • We received a letter from National Fuel Gas Company informing us that we will be receiving a donation from National Fuel’s Employee Charitable Giving Program and the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation.
