During the discussions held betweentheNFIR and RailwayBoardon 1610712014, while discussingPNM Item No.6012012, the Railway Board conveyedthat sincethe issuerelatingto pay scalegenerallyfalls in the jurisdiction of CentralPay Commissions,the expertbodies,and the SeventhCPChasalreadybeenconstituted,the item will be referredto the VIIth CPC. In the courseof discussions, Federationcontendedthat thoughthe issueof Qualification basedpay structureis within the domain of 7tr CPC for which Railway Board would make reference,howeverthe issueof changeof designationof ECG & Holter Techniciansis within the competence of the Railway Board.In this connection,Railway Boardmay like to connecftheir letter dated 2210812013 and responsesthere to receivedfrom the ZoneslPUsetc., for taking action for changeof designation.Needlessto mention that the proposalhas 'Nil' financial implications. NFIR, therefore, once again requeststhe Railway Board to consider revision of designationof ECG & Holter Techniciansas"CardiacTechnologist"early.
