CFISD Technology Festival 2017 April 27, 2017 The Technology Festival spotlights student creativity with 21st century tools emphasizing technology integration in their learning environment. Student Festival Guidelines Participants: CFISD students grades PK-12 are eligible to enter and attend this free event. The CFISD Technology Festival showcases student use of technology in the classroom. Students share how they use technology as a learning tool to problem solve, collaborate in and outside the classroom walls, collect and analyze data, and create products. Entry Requirements: • Participants are to complete the “Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Technology Festival 2017 Student Application Form” and return by April 21, 2017. Application forms must be signed by the teacher sponsor indicating approval of presentation. • Participants must register online by April 21, 2017 via http://bit.ly/TF2017studentreg for attendance verification and door prize eligibility. • The campus technology liaison email address is required for the online registration, it is
[email protected]. • Participants may present individually or with a group. Sponsorship: All entries must have a CFISD teacher sponsor. The role of the sponsor is to support the students and approve final presentations. All work must be completed by the students. Presentations/Entries: • Include, but are not limited to, audio, video, illustrations, web tools, products, projects, or demonstrations. • Must be created during the current academic school year and related to curriculum content. • Can be worked on until the festival, but must be reviewed by the teacher sponsor before April 21, 2017. • Should be saved to a CD, DVD, or flash drive if applicable and provided to Mrs. Seiter. Technology Festival Presentations: Students will receive specific arrival and setup instructions from Mrs. Seiter. District equipment will be provided by the campus teacher. Copyright: Fair Use Guidelines will apply to all presentations entered in the festival. Students using copyrighted materials exceeding the Fair Use Guidelines in their entry must obtain copyright permission. The copyright holder must be told that the materials will be used in a school district festival in order for permission to be valid. Written permission in the form of a letter or email is acceptable.
