Cemetery Committee Minutes March 4, 2014

Members Present: Sue Krause, Larry Krause, Connie Eddy, Ann Johnson, Tony Lizzadro, Don Keith, Members Absent: Jim MacKenzie Member of the Public in attendance: Mark Spreitzer Meeting called to order by co-chair Larry Krause. Discussion Items: The revised draft of the Cemetery Ordinance with proposed changes was reviewed section by section. Motion made by Connie Eddy seconded by Ann Johnson to strike the words "or burial" in Section III A, second sentence. Motion carried. The following changes were also made to the revised draft: Section II C. - .... number of "burials" was changed to .... number of "interments". Section IX A - Burial spaces/burial rights sold....... Section IX A 1. - Notice shall be sent by the Township Clerk (first class, certified returnreceipt-requested mail) to the ........... (The word "by" deleted after Clerk, parentheses added) Action Items: A. Prepare wording under Section VI Markers or Memorials to require permanent corner markers within one year of sale by the purchaser and disallow curbing or fencing of entire burial space/s. B. Section XIII - Add statement preventing any vehicle from driving in the cemetery except on designated roadways.
