Dzinot, Blagoj Kirkov, Vasil Gllavinov and Kiril and Metodij) in Local Municipality of Veles. The main project activities included: • Implementation of energy saving measures (installation of energy efficient lights, automatic door closing mechanisms, digital thermometers), Creating an energy saving plan for the school, based on the first ecostandard for energy saving. Establishing an Environmental Educational Fund in Municipality of Veles, that will generate savings from the EE measures and will be used for future environmental projects in other schools in the Municipality. • Educational activities and trainings on the topic of renewable energy sources and energy saving (13 workshops for students from primary and secondary schools and 2 workshops for representatives of NGOs, the business sector, local authorities, representatives from schools (principals, teachers, technical staff etc.) and the wider community; Printing of educational materials; Conducting best Energy Efficiency video contest. • Informing and raising awareness of the general public by printing two manuals for Energy efficiency (one for primary and one for secondary schools) and informative poster; Promotion of the project through social networks and the already established network of eco-schools; Participation in children’s TV Show on the subject of renewable energy and energy saving (Kanal 5, TV Telma and TV Alsat, both in Macedonian and Albanian); promoting and disseminating the 3 best entries from the Energy efficient videos contest.

Created an energy saving plans for schools, based on the first eco- standard for energy saving. Educational activities and trainings were conducted on the topic of energy efficiency and energy saving (15 workshops with 300 participants from primary and secondary schools; 2 workshops with participants from representatives of NGOs, the business sector, local authorities, schools (principals, teachers, technical staff) Prepared, published and distributed environmental education materials: posters in 200 copies and publication (Manuals one for primary and one for secondary schools) in 500 copies, for energy efficiency in Macedonian and Albanian languages; Competition in the video with topics of Energy efficiency was organized. Follow up ОХО plans to continue with organizing and initiating new and similar activities. As a result of this project the Environmental Education Fund in Veles was established, that will generate savings from the installed energy efficiency measures and will reinvest them into a new local environmental and/or educational projects.
