Conover Branch now open Conover Branch Library re-opened for business Tuesday in newly renovated space on the top floor of Conover Station. Susan Reed was the first customer in the door. The first book checked out was by Lucille Woodrum. Both Conover residents expressed delight at the new facility which is about a third larger than the former quarters at City Hall.

The new library address is 403 Conover Station, SE and is located in a 1918 structure erected for the Warlong Glove Manufacturing Company. Business hours will remain unchanged as 12 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, 9- 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 - 2 on Saturday. The phone number is 466-5108.

Conover Branch is part of the Catawba County Library System. Other facilities include Newton, Maiden, Claremont, St. Stephens, Sherrills Ford and Southwest. News about the library is available on the website, http://www.catawbacountync.gov//library as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
