BUSINESS CHALLENGES  Since it’s inception, the user registration funnel has always been the most critical aspects of the site. Future iterations of the product revolved around how to increase the registration's conversion rate. Therefore important questions such as what is the most logical and user friendly sequence of registration steps and more importantly where were users abandoning the registration process had to be answered.  In order to properly allocate budgets to various online marketing channels and to track their performances, deep knowledge of channel performance is paramount.  Since affiliate partners are a key performance channel for SavingGlobal, the marketing team had to heavily rely on their IT department to implement several different tracking pixels while upholding the ability for agile marketing.

OW WE WE HELPED HOW HELPED  We used Google Tag Manager‘s DataLayer to enhance Google Analytics‘ tracking data with custom dimensions, metrics and dedicated events specifically for the registration funnel so that SavingGlobal knows exactly how users are signing up.

 Custom channel groupings and a campaign tagging schema including UTM URL parameters was used as the basis for advanced traffic analysis, multi channel analysis and custom attribution modelling to ensure that each marketing euro was properly spent.  We implemented Google Tag Manager to allow them to easily and quickly deploy new affiliate tracking codes and ad network tracking within the same business day without relying on their IT department.
