15th Annual Pre-Season Baseball Camp At Hampden-Sydney College Grades: 7-12 Pre-Season Camp: February 18, 2018 - $125

CAMP DETAILS The HST Pre-Season Camp will run for 1 day. The day will consist of two sessions. One session will run from 9am to 12pm, with a lunch break held from 12pm to 1pm. The second session will run from 1pm to 4pm. An opportunity to purchase lunch at the H-SC dining hall will be available, but lunch will not be provided by the camp. In case of inclement weather the camp will be held indoors at Kirby Field House located on H-SC campus. The morning session will feature camp instruction. Afternoon sessions will feature our showcase format. The camp will feature on-field batting practice to evaluate each players’ hitting potential. In addition, a pro-style infield-outfield will be used to help evaluate defensive skills. Games are set up to showcase a camper’s maximum ability. A coach pitch game will be utilized to feature defensive skills and hitting. A player pitched game will also be played on the game field to showcase pitchers and show players in live game situations. CAMP INSTRUCTORS Jeff Kinne – Head Coach, Hampden-Sydney College. Coach Kinne has been coaching collegiate baseball since 1994 as both a head and assistant coach. Currently Kinne is in his fifteenth year as Head Coach at Hampden-Sydney. Billy Catron – Asst. Coach Hampden-Sydney College. Coach Catron returns to Hampden-Sydney for his tenth season. At H-SC Coach Catron works with hitters and infielders. HSC’s team defense has been tops in the ODAC since Catron arrived in 2009. Robbie Bailey – Asst. Coach Hampden-Sydney College. Coach Bailey is in his sixth year with the Tigers. The former H-SC stand out will have responsibilities with be the HSC pitching staff. REGISTRATION/TUITION Cost for the Pre-Season Camp is $125. All campers must register and pay via US mail or PayPal Payment prior to one week before check-in. Late registration will be taken at the door if space is available. There is an additional $25 charge for late registrations. Refunds (less $50 service charge) will be given for dropouts prior to one week before check-in.
