Submissions Accepted until all times are filled Southern Oregon Regional Environmental Education Leaders (SOREEL) is pleased to issue a call for presenters for August Institute 2017 held on August 14th—17th. This annual environmental education workshop provides professional development to 40 K-12th grade teachers through learning sessions, a resource fair and field trips. SOREEL connects organizations and educators that focus on science and environmental education in Southern Oregon.

3 hours learning session (Mon., Tues. and Wed.) 3 hour field experience (Mon., Tues. and Wed.) 1.5 hour learning session (Mon. Tues. and Wed.) 30 minute table session (Tuesday morning) Field trip (Thursday)
When responding to this call, please consider both the workshop theme and how your presentation will fit into the Common Core and/or Next Generation Science Standards.
Presentations should contain:
Hand-on interactive elements Time Outside Activity suggestions for teachers to implement in the classroom Ways to incorporate diversity and inclusion Time for teacher interaction and brainstorming
