CALL FOR PAPERS NLUD STUDENT LAW JOURNAL The NLUD Student law Journal (NLUD-SLJ) is the flagship student publication of National Law University, Delhi. It is an annual peer reviewed journal which seeks to provide a forum for engaging in discussions on varied issues of contemporary importance in domestic and international law and policy. Following two successful volumes of the Journal and in continuance of the endeavour to encourage academic discourse and legal scholarship, the Board of Editors invites submissions for the third volume. The journal welcomes contributions from academicians, practitioners, students of law and allied fields. SUBMISSIONS: Submissions may be in form of original, unpublished Articles, Notes, Comments, and Book Reviews. All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words. The abstract must highlight the importance of the issue, main arguments and the conclusions of the article.
Word Limits:
Articles – 6000-10,000 Words
Short Notes/ Case Comments – 3000-6000 Words
Book Review – 1000- 2000 Words
Word limits are inclusive of footnotes.
Style and Formatting Guidelines: The main text of the paper should be in font size 12, Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing and footnotes in font size 10, Times New Roman, 1.0 line spacing. Legal maxims should be in italics.
References: The Journal requires the use of footnotes and not end-notes as a method of citation. The Journal follows THE BLUEBOOK: A UNIFORM SYSTEM OF CITATION (19th ed. 2010) as the method of citation.
Contributors must submit their work in MS Word format (.docx extensions). PDF/other formats will not be accepted.
The author’s name, affiliation, biographical information is to be provided in a removable title page. Please include the manuscript’s title on the first text page.

PUBLICATION POLICY
The Journal firmly believes in the importance of originality of ideas and therefore any material submitted to the Journal should not have been published elsewhere. If the submission is under consideration elsewhere, the author should inform the Editorial Board. Co-authorship is permitted.
All submissions will be run through anti-plagiarism software and plagiarism in any form will result in instant rejection of the submission.
The decision of the Board of Editors regarding publishing the piece is final and binding.
The Editorial Board shall not be responsible for any material that is libelous or scandalous. The author shall be presumed to have obtained necessary permissions from cited authors in case a cited work is unpublished.
The Editorial Board will review the accuracy of citations. However the final responsibility for accuracy of facts, quotations and citations in the submission rests with the author.
The author agrees that if accepted for publication, NLUD will have the right to publish/assign the right to publish whole or parts of the submission in future publications. The author will retain all moral rights. The author will also retain copyright, with the condition that in any future publication, the author must acknowledge that the piece was first published in NLUDSLJ.
NLUD believes in open access to knowledge and will strive to make the journal as widely accessible as possible.
