This is our Music Department
Being in an ensemble and performing is an essential part of learning an instrument or learning to sing. Music is to share. Music is to celebrate.
We have clear expectations in our music department - if you can be in an ensemble, you should. If you can perform, you should! You must also practice your music in between rehearsals.
Our weekly ensemble rehearsals
Monday Junior Wind Band. 3.30 - 4pm. For all Wind, Brass and percussionists in Years 7 - 9.
Concert Band. 4 - 5pm. From Year 8/9 onwards, for Wind, Brass and percussionists
Tuesday
String Ensemble. 3 - 3.30pm. For our string players
Orchestra. 3.30 - 4.15pm. For all string players and selected wind and brass musicians
Saxidentals. 3 - 3.45pm. The home for our saxophonists.
Rock School. 5 - 7pm. Rock Bands galore!
Wednesday Melodic Minors. 3.30 - 4.15pm. For all singers in Years 7 - 9
Take Note. 7.45 - 9.30pm. Our Adult Community Choir
Thursday Coro. 3.30 - 4.30pm. For singers in Years 10 - 13. Our most experienced singers! The Simon Balle Big Band. 3.30 - 5pm. Does what is says on the tin. Year 8 onwards, if you are good enough!

Guitar Ensemble. 3.30 - 4pm. For our acoustic guitarists. If you learn, you must be in. 2

An Evening Recital - just before exams! Tuesday 6th December, 7pm For students about to take an exam Melodic Minors with the Hertford Symphony Orchestra Sunday 11th December, 3pm, Ware Drill Hall Our choir join the Hertford Symphony Orchestra A Take Note Christmas Concert Saturday 17th December, St Andrew’s Church, 7pm Our Adult Community Choir in their annual celebration of Christmas Christmas Carol Service, All Saints Church.
