Overview

This document outlines the School of Public Health’s procedure for ordering business cards as directed by University of Alberta policies and guidelines.

Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is to outline the steps required and the circumstances under which students may obtain a School of Public Health Students’ Association logo or a School of Public Health logo.

Procedure

The School of Public Health Students’ Association Logo and the School of Public Health Logo • The School of Public Health Students' Association (SPHSA) logo is for SPHSA related materials and purposes. At the discretion of the SPHSA executive, the logo may be used by its student members. • As per the University of Alberta Trademark and Licensing Policy, and related Visual Identity Guidelines, permission is required in order for individual students or SPHSA to use the School or University logo. • Students should contact the Office of Marketing and Alumni Relations at 780.492.2027 for requests to use the School of Public Health logo. Obtaining or creating an SPHSA business card School of Public Health students in good standing may obtain or create a business card that bears the SPHSA logo. To obtain a SPHSA business card, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject heading “SPHSA Business Card Request.” Within the content of the email please specify: a. Your full name and credentials (e.g. John Smith, BSc). b. Your current position (e.g. MPH student, epidemiology, School of Public Health) c. University of Alberta email address d. University of Alberta phone number Note: SPHSA business cards must not include the University of Alberta logo or the School of Public Health logo. Personal information including home addresses and personal phone numbers will not be permitted for use in SPHSA business cards. Only University of Alberta contact information will be permitted.

PROCEDURE

The SPHSA will then provide you with a secure PDF file of your personalized business card. Obtaining a University of Alberta business card The University of Alberta does not permit students, graduate students, alumni, temporary employees, and adjunct professors to use official stationery items, including business cards. In the case where a student is also an employee of the University of Alberta, the supervisor may decide that the employee requires business cards to perform their employment duties. Supervisors who wish to purchase business cards for their employees should provide the following information to Donna Richardson at [email protected]: a. Details including name, title, location, etc. for the card. b. Speed code to which the cost of business cards will be charged.
