ISKCOM -2016 International Symposium on Knowledge and Communication ISKCOM (International Symposium on Knowledge and Communication) an international symposium jointly organized by NMIMS (Deemed to be University, India). Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and Khon Kaen University (Information and Communication Department, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) Thailand have pleasure in inviting you to register, participate and contribute high quality papers on research and technical works, case studies, technology updates related to the theme and subthemes of the symposium given below topics for International Symposium on Knowledge and Communication. The world has witnessed revolutionary changes in various elds; including the Libraries and Library Profession. Innovations and advancements have taken place in ways Libraries are run and maintained today across the globe. Trends and developments in Libraries have brought wonderful opportunities to the users of Knowledge Resources Centres, but this has also brought several challenges for the disseminators of this knowledge. To understand the future Librarianship, Innovations, Embedded, Sustainable and Emerging Trends of the electronic era, our educational institute NMIMS in association with Khon Kaen University, (KKU) Thailand, is organizing this ISKCOM -International Symposium on Knowledge and Communication.
OBJECTIVE OF THE CONFERENCE The main objectives of the conference are; • To provide platform for sharing of Information and expertise among researchers, Practitioners and IT Professionals, Scientist, from Library and Information Science. • To bring together Academic and other Library and Information professionals in India as foreign well as to deliberate on future librarianship, Innovative, Embedded, Sustainable and Emerging trends and developments in Library and Information Science.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS Original contributions on the above theme and sub-themes are invited from Library and Information science professionals. The authors should be follow the following structure and guidelines for submission of papers; a. The papers should contain the titles of the paper, author's name, contact no., e-mail id, organization address, city, state and country; b. Length of the paper; 3000 words, single space, 12 point font size, Times New Roman for English in the Word format only. c. Abstract should not exceed 150 words and Keywords can be up to 10; d. Use APA Style Manual for References (http://www.apastyle.org/) e. Papers can be e-mail to Organizing Secretary at [email protected]

After review of the papers by editorial boards and acceptance will be send to the authors before 5th May 2016. Registration form along with DD/cheque and copyright form should be submitted well in advance while sending the paper for conference and only that paper will be considered for conference proceedings and for the presentation.

MUKESHBHAI PATEL CENTRAL LIBRARY, SHIRPUR The Mukesh Patel Central Library which is the heart of the institute was established in 2007. Mukesh Patel Central Library with its modern collection of knowledge resources and innovative information services supports complementary roles for all students, faculty members and the surrounding community in their intellectual pursuit. It has a rich collection of 29500 books, 17 various full text databases and 1, 00,000 e-books from renowned publishers, NPTEL videos etc. Covering 45000 Sq ft area, it provides access to valuable resources in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Computer Science, and Business Management. Library collection can also be searched through Web OPAC.
ABOUT KHON KAEN UNIVERSITY, Thailand Khon Kaen University (KKU) was established as the major university in the Northeastern part of Thailand in 1964 and has developed itself to become one of the top universities in Thailand. Khon Kaen University has recently become one of the nine national research universities in Thailand and an educational center in the Mekong sub-region.
