Satellite Meeting on Archiving and Enriching Structural Data in Biology during 12-13 March Since, its inception in the early 1970s, the protein data bank (PDB) has grown and evolved into a big data repository of structural data of biomolecules and biomolecular complexes. These data have provided vital clues to cellular function and have been indispensable for the development of new generation therapeutics. The Satellite meeting aims to showcase the various analytical tools to query these data and to establish guidelines for archiving and annotation of these data, and for development of analytical tools keeping in mind future growth and innovations in experimental and computational techniques.

The Indian Biophysical Society holds annual meetings that proaction among biophysicsts in India. In 2018, IISER Pune will be hosting 42nd annual meeting where the focus will be on current and emerging trends in the biophysical research. Meeting will consist of the GN Ramachandran memorial lecture, ~27 invited lectures, ~9 short talks selected from the abstracts and exciting posters. We also plan to have talks from the industry participants on the latest technological developments. There will be eight Best Poster awards and one Young Scientist award.
