The Sound of Nursery by Nursery Team On Thursday 1st of June, Nursery had their year end show. The show was called 'The Sound of Nursery' and was a celebration of music and movement. The show was inspired by older students who had visited Nursery and performed to them over the year. Through collaboration with Ms Kao she helped to develop the idea. Ms Kao chose a variety of students to come and play their instruments to the younger students. It was a great opportunity for the older students to play to a real audience and gave the younger students the chance
to listen to real instruments. It was this experience that provided us with the inspiration for our show. The show was the Nursery children's chance to play instruments and lead the learning. They had a lot of fun practising and getting ready for the show and were delighted to play to so many parents. We are so proud of how well they performed. Well done Nursery!

Art in Year 1
by Mr Eamonn O’Callaghan
For our unit about plants the students looked very closely at flowers and identified all the different parts.
The students continued the flower theme with some Creative Stitching.
In art class we practised observational drawing in pencil. Then we used markers to outline the shapes and painted with watercolours.
Now we are working on Paper Quilling. The students are rolling paper strips into different shapes and gluing them together to make an image of a flower
For our next craft lesson the students drew the different parts of the flower on coloured paper and cut out the shapes. Then they glued all the pieces together to create a flower collage.
Please go to the School Gallery to see the work or go Online https://www.flickr.com/photos/133642183@N05/albums
