The Wayne County Public Library Bookmobile oversees the unique service of bringing the library to patrons who live in areas of Wayne County that do not have easy access to the library. Each month the Bookmobile travels an average of 828 miles over country roads to bring materials to Wayne County residents. Patrons who visit the Bookmobile check out an average of 21,000 items per month, ranking the Bookmobile the 2nd highest library branch for circulation in the system. The friendly, dedicated Bookmobile staff is committed to providing library service and connecting our faithful readers to the Wayne County Public Library.

Library Cards You may get a library card at any Bookmobile stop as long as you have a form of ID that shows your current address. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign the application.

Remember your card If you walk or ride your bike, please remember your card or a form of ID in order to check out books. Check the Schedule / Map Stops throughout Wayne County are made every three weeks. If a stop is missed due to weather or vehicle maintenance, patrons will not be responsible for late charges. Returns You can return items from the Bookmobile to any Wayne County Library Branch, as well as any Bookmobile stop. Renew Please call the Bookmobile to renew books if you miss a regular stop to avoid overdue fees.
