Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Welcome back!! I hope you all have enjoyed some family time this past week. We are eager to make the last push of the year. Reminder…GET YOUR YEARBOOKS!! Tomorrow, students in grades 6 and 7 that have missed 1 or both sessions will have the opportunity to makeup MCAS testing for ELA. State testing helps our school identify strengths and weaknesses in our curricula, and helps parents and students determine how much progress individual students are making.    If you know that your child has missed a session, we ask that you help us by including the following daily preparations as your child gets ready for school

each day: IMPORTANT MESSAGE: • Get a good night’s sleep. • Get up early enough on testing days to have a relaxed morning. • Eat a good breakfast. Bring a healthy (no nut or sticky) snack and water to drink. • Arrive at school on time, by the first bell at 7:40 A.M. • Come to school with a positive attitude. • Advise your child that CELL PHONES will be collected for Test Security purposes, by their teachers before testing begins, and will be returned to them once testing is completed. • A word of praise from parents or guardians that he/she will do well on the test. • Coach him/her to listen to directions and read directions carefully for understanding. • Remind your child to read, go back to look, and always review for accuracy while testing.

Please mark your calendars… ELA MCAS makeups for grades 6 and 7 starts tomorrow (See right calendar). We look forward to seeing you at the next BOP meeting. It is May 9th at 6:00 PM in the Library. Site Council will be April 29th at 9:30AM. Saturday School will also be April 29th running from 8:30AM to 11:30AM.
