Coral Sea Scarf & Wrap Crochet Pattern
Special Stitches Star Stitch (star st) Pick up a loop in the eye of last star you created, pick up a loop through the back of last loop of previous star. Pick up a loop through same st as the last loop of previous star. Pick up a loop in each of the next 2 sts, (6 loops on your hook). Yarn over and pull through all the loops on your hook. Ch1 (this forms eye of star).

Gauge: 4 (complete) rows & 3 stitches in star st = 1 inch
Row 1- Ch66 [Add or take away sets of 2 foundation chains if you'd like to create a thinner or wider scarf]. Insert hook in 2nd ch, and pick up a loop. Pick up 1 loop in each of the next 4 ch (6 loops on hook). Yarn over, pull through all the loops on hook. Ch1 (this forms eye of star), *Pick up a loop in the eye of last star you created, pick up a loop through the back of last loop of previous star, then pick up a loop through same chain as the last loop of previous star. Pick up a loop in each of the next 2 ch, (6 loops on your hook). Yarn over, pull through all loops on hook, ch1. Repeat from the * all across. 1 hdc in the last ch of this row, (The same ch as the last loop of the last star st of this row). Turn your work. (31 star sts)

5.00mm (H) Crochet Hook 975yds Superfine Yarn (Fingering) Tapestry Needle Two Buttons (1.5”x 1.5”)
Yarn: I used Bonita's Kaleidoscopic (5 skeins)
Stitches Used: st(s) – stitch(es) ch – chain stitch sc – single crochet hdc – half double crochet star st – star stitch
Row 2- Ch1, 1 sc in same st. 1 sc in the "Eye" of the next star st. *2 sc in the "Eye" of next star st. Repeat from the * all across. 1 sc in the top of the turning ch at the end of this row. Turn your work. Row 3- Ch2, pick up a loop in the front strand of 2nd ch from your crochet hook, pick up another loop in the 2nd chain, but this time in the back strand of that chain. Pick up a loop in the 1 st st of this row.
Pick up a loop in each of the next 3 sts. Yarn over, pull through all 6 loops on hook. Ch1, *Pick up a loop in the eye of last star you created, pick up a loop through the back of last loop of previous star, then pick up a loop through same st as the last loop of previous star. Pick up a loop in each of the next 2 sts, (6 loops on your hook). Yarn over and pull through all the loops on your hook. Ch1 (this forms eye of star). Repeat from the * all across. 1 hdc in last st of this row, (Same st as the last loop of the last star st of this row).
Row 4 – 175- Repeat rows 2 - 3. (You can either add or take away a couple sets of rows 2 - 3, depending on how long you'd like your scarf to be.) Fasten off, weave in loose ends.
Finishings: Overlap the ends of your scarf, then sew 1 button on either side of your scarf, making sure to sew the ends of the scarf together as well.
