Austin Community College Computer Science and Information Technology Submitting Assignments in Blackboard To submit an assignment in Blackboard (Bb) follow these steps: 1. On the Bb course menu, click on Assignments and then click on the corresponding Lab/Project/Homework/In-Class Exercise folder you need to submit assignment for. Then, click on the name of the assignment. For example Lab1 assignment submission link will be found under Assignments/Labs/Lab1. 2. In the Assignment Submission box, click Browse My Computer and select the file to attach. Make sure the correct path and file name appear in the Attach File text box. If you have selected the wrong file, you can remove it by clicking Do not attach. If the same file is attached to your assignment more than once, the new file is saved with a number appended to the name. For example, lab1_file(1).doc. 3. If you are submitting more than one file then repeat previous step to attach next file. Do not click Submit until the last file has been attached. 4. Optionally, type comments to your instructor in the Comments box. 5. Click Submit. 6. Submit only the solution to the assignment you clicked on. This is dynamically tied to the Grade Center. As soon as you submit the assignment an exclamation mark will appear in the grade report. That means the assignment has been submitted successfully and it is pending for grading. Once the assignment is graded, the exclamation mark will go away and will be replaced with corresponding grade. 7. If you see a lock symbol in the grade report that means something went wrong in the submission process. You should email me so that I can clear your attempt and you can resubmit the assignment.
