We will be hosting a National Night Out Against Crime Ice Cream Social! When? This Tuesday, August 5th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Stand up against crime and join us and your neighbors for a fun-filled, educational evening with the Olympia Police Department. They will be joining us in their caravan around 6:00 pm to talk about crime prevention. We will have the street and parking area in front of the office blocked off for the event. There will be lots of sweet treats including root beer floats, orange cream floats and all the fixings for a fantastic sundae (limit one treat per person of course). Maintenance Tip Of The Month: Garbage Disposals! Have you ever wondered why your garbage disposal suddenly stopped working? The most common problem is that something got stuck in the disposal and its needs to be reset. Make sure to clean out all of the food particles before resetting it. Once you have done that, look under the sink to where the bottom part of the disposal is. There should be are red or black button on the bottom or side of the disposal. Just hit that button and your disposal should be working again! Please note that potato peels, pasta noodles, and coffee grounds are not good to put down the garbage disposal. Those particles are what clog the disposal and are the top reasons why your garbage disposal will stop working. The best way to preserve your garbage disposal is to only put small scraps down it. Awesome tip: Grind some lemons slices to keep your garbage disposal smelling fresh and clean!
