WHAT IS COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP)? 35 LPSS Schools will be participating in a new option for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program called CEP. What does this mean for LPSS students enrolled at these schools identified? All enrolled students at these sites are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch meals at school for the entire year at NO CHARGE. Students enrolled at these schools will be able to participate in the school meal programs without having to pay for meals or submit a Meal Benefit Application.
What does this mean for LPSS students NOT enrolled at these schools identified? Other students that attend LPSS schools not listed above, may apply for the Traditional Meal Benefit available in both the electronic and paper format. The paper application form is distributed to schools NOT participating in the CEP Program. The electronic application can be accessed and completed online at

Free and Reduced Meal Benefits: LAFAYETTE PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEM CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES
For students attending LPSS that are NOT enrolled at a CEP school (see above for list). Applications are given out the 1st day of school. A new application must be completed EVERY SCHOOL YEAR. Only one application is needed for a family. Complete in BLACK INK only. Complete and return to your child’s school site as soon as possible applications are DUE SEPTEMBER 21, 2017.

Special Dietary Needs for Students
A current Diet Prescription Form must be completed EVERY YEAR. The form must be signed by a physician. Return forms to your child’s school site. The current Diet Prescription form can be obtained from our website or Cafeteria Manager, 2017-2018 Diet Prescription Forms are DUE SEPTEMBER 21, 2017.
