Objective of the Neuqua Valley High School Student Athletic Training Aide Program This program was designed to create an environment where students can observe and experience the field of Sports Medicine through the supervision of our certified athletic trainers (ATC). Student aides will gain the knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology, relate injuries to the demands of sport, assist the certified athletic trainers with acute care of injuries once proper skills are obtained, observe and understand rehabilitation techniques while assisting athletes, and assist with general athletic training procedures during games and practices. Student aides will become better prepared for future education and professional responsibility. Participation in our program during the season will require after school and potential late night and/or weekend commitments. Please be aware of the potential and opportunity for students to travel with us to an away event if they choose to and with parent permission. For further details contact: Katie Stein, ATC at
