The University of Human Development (UHD) is a nonprofit making university, founded by Professor Dr.Ali Muhealdin Qaradaghi in 2008. UHD works according to the rules and regulations of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Kurdistan Regional Government). Currently, UHD contains four colleges; College of Law and Politics, College of Language, College of Science and Technology, College of Administration and Economics. UHD works to become the leading academic center for education and scientific research, human development, and building human’s potentials to be creative, progressive and able to help offering prosperity everywhere. Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) is a public academic institution and a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU). It is located in the city of Sulaimani, Qirga neighbourhood in Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It was founded in 1996 under the name of Foundation of Technical Institutions, and then in 2003 it was changed to Foundation of Technical Education in Sulaimani (FTES), after that it was restructured to Sulaimani Polytechnic University in 2012. The University’s mission is to contribute to the society through the pursuit and promotion of education, learning, and research at its excellence. The educational vision of SPU is to produce skilled graduates with various high-standard, technical and academic qualifications.

Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research (KISSR) established in the late of 2005. Kurdistan Institution has eight research centres including geology, microbiology, health and safety, and strategic studies. At KISSR, PhD and Masters Staffs also teach at universities in Kurdistan and technical institutions plus mentoring students from Kurdistan. As of May 2015, more than 150 students have completed their research works at laboratories in KISSR. Also, foreign students, such as from Germany and United Kingdom have conducted their researches in KISSR and have been supervised by our academic staffs.
