Mission Statement Recognition, Registration and Accreditation in Natural Medicine. The Examining Board of Natural Medicine Practitioners was established in 1998 as per World Health Organization AlmaAta 1962 declaration

Natural Medicine: The practice of Natural Medicine is the promotion of health, the assessment of emotional, mental and physical state and the resultant Natural Medicine therapeutic techniques to improve emotional and adaptive function.

Natural Medicine Doctors: Natural Medicine Doctors are Health Care Professionals who are trained in the combined use of safe, gentle non-invasive therapies such as Nutritional Medicine, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathic Medicine, Acupuncture & Manual Medicine. These medicines and therapies are aimed at enhancing the body’s self healing ability to regain and maintain optimum health. A DNM® is one who practices (teaches) a system of medicine in which only natural substances and techniques are used, including but not limited to nutritional and dietary therapeutics; phytotherapy (botanical / herbal remedies) and vegetable minerals; electrotherapy, as a natural environmental force; Mechanical therapy (massage, manipulation etc); remedial exercises, mineral therapy and biochemical therapy (the use of natural minerals and cell salts) hydrotherapies in all forms and homeotherapeutics (a dynamic use of mineral and plant extracts) The core philosophy of the Natural Medicine Doctor is the prevention of disease and the stimulation of the natural healing processes of the body to re-establish homeostasis when the body is in a state of dis-equilibrium.

General Information Why Should You Register The EBNMP believes that the resurgence of interest in Natural Medicine should and will encounter close scrutiny from individuals in and outside of the profession of Natural Medicine. Some Natural Medicine Practitioners are still unregulated and this has led to a number of untrained individuals in the field of Natural Medicine. The public, for the most part, has no way of differentiating between trained or untrained Natural Medicine Practitioners. EBNMP is seeking to create a greater awareness of professionalism, ethics, research and educational standards, to protect the public and to satisfy the growing need for an ever increasing, well-rounded health care system. EBNMP believes that if we do not set standards for ourselves, OTHERS will set standards for us that are not in accordance with our philosophy and training as Natural Medicine Practitioners.

EBNMP's qualified registrants must meet a specific standard of education to assure the public that they have met the educational, ethical and upgrading standards of a registering body to which they are accountable. EBNMP does not represent any one particular Natural Health Profession; it is comprised of a multidisciplinary group whose members are Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Acupuncturists, Osteopaths, Dentists, Holistic Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Nutritional Medicine Practitioners, Eastern Medicine Doctors and Lifestyle Management Practitioners. Individuals interested in becoming registered must pass qualifying examinations prior to registration and must agree to abide by the code of professional ethics as set out by EBNMP.

I also had many emails in regard to my dear young friend that was touched by an avalanche where her best friend made her transition and she was also buried beneath the heavy snow and made her way out.

I was blessed to spend time with her in her most painful time following the incident. It has only been one month since her experience and her heart has truly opened as I have never seen her before. Although she is missing her dear friend something very deep and profound has shifted inside her.

Today she tells me that LOVE has touched her when she least expected it, which often happens when our heart is the most raw. Her guard has been let down and when fear would have create doubt about allowing love to fill her, that is replaced with joy and excitement.

To watch a flower to blossom to its fullest is part of the magic that I get to experience everyday in so many ways. We are all blessed.

Political Organizers New Moon 6 April 3.55 Full Moon 20 April 10.25 GMT Begin the new focus at New Moon and Deepen into the Full Moon As we continue to focus and hold the energy for global transformation and to investigate new ways of being and expression, we need to keep our minds and consciousness as open as possible so as to be aware of any personal bias and conditioning that don’t serve the higher good of all. The political arena is certainly a challenging one worldwide. Everywhere we see old paradigms are crumbling as people demand and fight for their basic needs to be taken care of. There is chaos and confusion and there are breakthroughs and change is taking place. We see history repeating itself through the violation of human rights, discrimination, poverty, political oppression and a lack of true freedom. As we work both individually and collectively to help those who are less fortunate and destitute, we have to keep our eyes open to what is happening, and to be well informed but at the same time, we can also access a higher perspective, that can give us a clearer vision, which enables us to be more aware of how and where we can contribute and be more empowered in our actions. Everything has a consequence, and the decisions taken by those in power have a tremendous far reaching influence, but these decisions can be affected by the thought forms and consciousness of the people. Eventually what the people want collectively comes into being. We have to be careful of what we think about and listen carefully to what we and others say, and to see the intentions behind what is being said and whether the truth is being spoken or there are hidden agendas. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said “Let me be clear : when we stand up for human rights, combat poverty and marginalization, when we seek to resolve conflicts, support good governance and the rule of law, we do so because these activities have intrinsic value and should be pursued in their own right.” How can we as individuals become political organizers that can make a difference, how can we contribute? How can we affect the consciousness of those around us through our own thoughts and actions? What does your own conscience tell you about what you see happening in the world and the part that you can play? These are important questions to reflect upon over the next month. Remember the positive influence and impact on society that a group mind, which has the highest and clearest of intentions can have upon humanity. Hold the highest possible vision and help magnetize the future into being. There is light and there is darkness, but as lightworkers we have to remember to focus on the light and to envision the world we want to bring into being. Original Diagnosis Presented in January 2007 with palpable right supraclavicular fossa lymph nodes and minor haemoptysis over a period of three weeks. FNA from the lymph nodes is reported as adenocarcinoma TTF1 positive, consistent with a lung primary. CT scan revealed a left upper lobe mass measuring 3.3 cmsin cavitating with associated left hilar, right paratracheal and right supraclavicular fossa lymph nodes, as well as lymph nodes in the anterior mediastinum. Proposed Treatment - Jan 2007 Due to presence of contra lateral supraclavicular lymphadenopathy, no potentially curative treatment, no role for radical radiotherapy or surgery. Conventional treatment with palliative chemotherapy using Gemcitabine and Caboplatin. Chemotherapy Completed 4 cycles - May 2007 CT scan demonstrated persistence of cavitating mass in the left apex but with reduction in wall thickness. 50% reduction in volume of mediastinal lymphadenopathy. The FDA is spreading the rumor that the health freedom community is unfairly upset about their recent ban on estriol and bio-identical hormones. Furthermore, the FDA continues to insist that they are not restricting estriol and that physicians wishing to treat their patients with drugs containing estriol may submit an investigational new drug application (which tend to cost at least $50,000). On January 9, 2008, the FDA essentially BANNED estriol (which is used in 80% of bio-identical hormones). They stated that estriol is an unapproved drug and unless they have a valid investigational new drug application, pharmacy operators may not compound drugs containing estriol. The same day at a press conference, the FDA admitted that they knew of no serious adverse events reported in conjuncture with estriol (even though doctors and hospitals are required to report ALL adverse events. On Thursday (April 3), we’re meeting with members of Congress to discuss this issue and others related to health freedom. We’ll be sure to tell you how the meetings went! Dear Friend: Here's your weekly Science Matters column by David Suzuki with Faisal Moola. Small actions can make a world of difference As you no doubt know, last week’s Earth Hour took place in several cities around the world, including many in Canada. The project was spearheaded by the World Wildlife Fund, which successfully tested the idea in Sydney, Australia, last year. The idea is simple: ask everyone to flick off lights and non-essential appliances for an hour. Earth Hour was a fascinating experiment. It’s a bold idea. As Marshall McLuhan famously observed, we live in a global village. And Earth Hour is an expression of cooperation and support between the other villagers on our little blue planet. It’s easy to downplay this idea. Many people did. Last week, it seemed as if all of Canada’s contrarians got space in newspapers and radio to complain: "Turn off the lights?! Says who? I paid for them, and I’ll leave them on as long as I darn well please!" Fine. We live in a free society and we are free to do as we please. But these naysayers have a myopic view of the world, and the important social networks of which we are all a part. When individuals do something beneficial for the environment--turning off the lights for an hour to show support for a good idea, or using energy-efficient appliances, or purchasing fuel-efficient cars--they aren’t just taking a simple action. They are expressing a bold statement about their values. On Saturday, millions around the world quietly announced, through actions instead of words, that they think environmental conservation is important. It’s not much different from the audiences who attend hockey games or rock concerts. When a fan sees a goal scored, or hears the opening chords to their favorite song, they put their hands together to make a noise. Clapping is one of the simplest things that humans are capable of.

But it has an effect. Just ask anyone who’s been to a stadium recently. The air fills with thunderous applause. People start to hoot and holler. Chairs start to vibrate. And you can see the passion that fans have for their teams and musical heroes. The simple act of turning off lights and appliances for an hour has an incredibly important symbolic value, and it’s as profound as a applause in a crowded stadium. When we express our values, others take notice and we are energized by not being alone. And pretty soon a lot of inspired individuals start operating as a collective. And once this happens, unusual things occur. You don’t have to look far to find inspiring examples. The history books--and Wikipedia--are full of them. Who can ever forget Rosa Parks, who became an icon of civil rights by refusing to give up her bus seat to a white passenger in the segregated south? Who can forget the lone Chinese protestor in 1989 who bravely showed the world his courage by refusing to move from oncoming tanks in Tiananmen Square? And who can forget Terry Fox, who continues to inspire thousands around the world to take part in the non-competitive run that bears his name each year? All this, even though this brave young man didn’t live to complete his own cross-Canada journey. As single acts, in and of themselves, these actions aren’t all that special. Certainly noteworthy, but not earth shaking. Yet, in a sense, these simple acts became larger symbols, succeeding in shaking up our thoughts about racism, authoritarian regimes, and cancer research. This all brings us back to last week’s Earth Hour. On Saturday night, news footage from around the world showed several cities making a difference, albeit symbolically. It showed conclusively that there are millions out there who aren’t afraid to show that we care about the environment. Of course, after the allotted time, lights were turned back on and many people resumed their usual Saturday night activity. But regardless of whether it’s considered a success or failure, this was an important experiment. And it’s a symbolic act that all the people and organizations in our social networks should listen to. After all, if millions of urban dwellers care enough about the planet to participate in Earth Hour, so should the businesses we deal with and the governments that represent our interests. We need to let them know and keep reminding them. Turning off lights for an hour all over the world is a great place to start, but it isn’t where we want to end. A Message from the Seniors Volunteer Driving Centre of Edmonton T: 732-1221 / E: [email protected] / W: seniorsdriving.org A main floor space with no steps is required in North Central Edmonton for the Seniors Volunteer Driving Centre (SVDCE). The rental outlet should be easily accessible by seniors with a walker and be on a main thoroughfare. Senior's Volunteer Driving Society/Charity can give a tax receipt for part of rental cost. What SVDCE does is co-ordinate volunteer driving for older seniors in Edmonton who are still walking but need volunteer driving support. We also need 30 more volunteer drivers to expand and handle 300 more new to us older frail seniors. This larger space is needed to host the administration of the call centre to manage the volunteer driving program. Thanks!

ACKNOWLEDGING PASSION by Erin Franiel Have you ever looked into the eyes of a child while they're focused on something, something they are really excited about or into? If you have, you've seen that look they get when they're intent on not coloring out of the line (the tongue sticking out or the eyes squinting). Have you ever listened to a really enthusiastic child? If you have, you've heard a child who can't finish a sentence because they are so excited. We chalk it up to keen interest or talent. But what if those are passions in the making? You know, the "bud stage". What if that child is not just spending time, or enjoying a childhood activity? What if what they're doing is their way of contributing and sharing their beauty with the world? Not just something they are great at, but rather shining in a way like a beacon, shining to say, "this is something I love and want to do forever." (Or, at least to have this in their life in some form.) Are we paying attention, or are we too busy to notice the importance of those moments? Are we too caught up in our pre-conceived notions about what is good for that child to notice what they really desire?

Read on... SAFETY WARNING This story came to us by email, and at first blush it appears to have nothing to do with passion. But it's someone's passion to try to save lives. So, although the story is unverified, it seems plausible and we therefore thought it was worth passing on to you. A fire investigator said he has seen more house fires started with the plug-in type room fresheners than anything else. He said the plastic they are made from is THIN and in every case there was nothing left to prove that it even existed. (Although in one case, the two prongs from the plug-in were still in the electrical socket.) In the case of the plug-ins with a small night light built into them, a warning sign that it is failing is when the light dims and then finally goes out. A few hours later, the light will come back on again. This is a sign that the unit is getting too hot, and it dims and goes out, rather than just blowing the light bulb. Once it cooled down it will come back on. That is a warning sign - throw the unit away! The investigator said he personally wouldn't have any type of plug in fragrance device anywhere in his house. He has seen too many places that have been burned down due to them. Perhaps you may want to think twice before leaving a plug-in air freshener plugged in. Thoughts on Building a New World By Nathalie Jackson I feel the soft gentle warmth of the sun’s rays on my face - the first rays I’ve allowed myself to sit and enjoy in quite some time. There’s just something about the cold, dark days of winter that propels me to seek comfort within. So as I could never express this to my father while he lived, I can only say it now and hope that the Father of all can relay my message. There might be something you resonate with, which can help you along your Divine journey. What we experience these days are indeed the true Alchemy Consciousness in body, mind, speech and soul. A true purification.

The 3 Bardo's: Birth, Death, and Resurrection. Connect, Dis-connect, and Re-connect: As you are born you are naturally connected to Source from whence you came. As you grow up you choose to dis-connect moving as far away from Source as necessary for you to learn about duality, and when you have learned the lessons you re-connect with Source bringing all that you have learned with you, and now you go directly towards the light only. First you believe in God naturally, then you dis-believe God to experience the pain, and then you become GOD. Death experiences are so popular these days, for many good reasons. Though this has also taken such heights pushing those with death experiences onto a pedestal of hero-illusion feeding the ego. The fact is that we all actually die approximately once a day (mainly at night while we sleep). We just don't know about this. And what we do not know, we fear. So, still most people have fear of death. Anyway...death experiences are cool and a trend now! And I will personally suggest that all beings should experience dying at least twice, consciously, as this kind of "slip", re-boost, reconnection is indeed providing the ascension. Die and get rid of all that does not serve your highest good any longer, filling up your body with the purest light and love from Source and return totally transformed. Alchemy consciousness activated! Personally I have never incarnated in a life-form before where I have died as many times as this one. Death in lower vibrations are experienced as leaving the physical body behind and the soul continues. Death in higher vibrations are experienced as ascension - great absorption of light into the body and the new body (lightbody) and soul continues. It is beautiful! But do not take your own life by suicide dear one. That is a great crime leaving the greatest karmic bagpack behind! But surrender to God with the wish of ascension and this will happen over night, so to speak. You are not here to take your life away, you are here to live all aspects of God. Enjoy and find your happiness in peace! Masters do sacrifice The more a true master teach you how to live in freedom as the limitless being you are, doing exactly what makes you happy the most and live every day as being the last, full of love, passion, ageless and timeless, the more the true master sacrifice his/her own freedom and limitless being-ness. The more a role-model you are, the more the others will watch you, expect from you and judge you for what you do not. The more role-model you are the more you have to be careful of what you do, say, am. Just another paradox to contemplate about! The thing is also, that when you have become a true master and living role-model for many you have reached a frequency level where you live it without issues. When you become a Lama and certain things are expected from you, you will have no issues being dressed and living like one. But lots are being sacrificed on the way to reach that level. Purity takes effort to attain. And so does higher consciousness, silent mind and inner peace from where happiness is growing.

Compassion Compassion is the key to create a happy new world. Total inner peace creates happiness. Compassion takes effort to attain. Compassion comes with the attained ability to see, feel and sense first yourself and then others with total accept and love. Everybody does everything for a reason. How hard can it be to accept that? Does somebody really piss you off sometimes....or make you feel uncomfortable? It is just a wonderful mirror of what you are to recognize, owe, accept, and change by yourself. Is it hard? Ok....work harder! You are changing your role! While your are swimming around in the ocean between the 3D and 5D worlds you are most likely changing your role becoming a new role-model. Maybe you are not a servant any longer. Maybe you are to live as the Master that you are now. No more running around pleasing everybody, but rather sit back, hold focus and delegate. No more jumping into the ocean saving the others "butt", but in stead throw out the ropes for more than one at a time, so that everyone can pull themselves up by their own will, taking their own responsibility for their creation. And if you are in the group of those who haven't served unconditionally yet then maybe that is your new role straight ahead of you. Do not judge or advice others in finding their role but keep the focus on your own. Wipe your own doorway before you wipe the others. It is not recommended to advice at all unless you are asked. Just send them your best wishes. That is the best advice for you to reach your new created world with most ease and grace. Common questions run along the lines of: 1) Can I use hypnosis to erase a memory of something I did or something that was done to me? 2) Can I use hypnosis to look into my past to learn about "blocks?" Before I discuss the use of hypnosis to manage memories I will take this opportunity to reiterate my stand on ethical clinical hypnosis. A collaborative, experiential and process oriented approached should always be used in the practice of clinical hypnosis.
