Words of Thanks The two agencies that received our collection of toiletries for abused women were very grateful to receive our much-needed donations. The donations went to benefit shelters in the Merrimack Valley region and the north shore area. In addition to providing emergency shelter for abused women, the agencies provide families with the services they need to enable the women to rebuild independent, healthy lives for themselves and their children.

St. Athanasius Prayer Shawl Ministry th

Were you at the 9:00 am Mass on February 7 when the creations of the Prayer Shawl Ministry were blessed by Fr. Colarusso? Do you have a loved one or a friend or know someone who needs to know they are thought of and prayed for by the St. Athanasius community? The Prayer Shawl Ministry offers these shawls to comfort those in their time of need. Shawls or Lap Blankets are available at the Parish Office during business hours. Please contact the Parish office at 781-944-0330 for more information and a convenient time for a member of the staff to assist you in making your selection. St. Athanasius Prayer Shawl Ministry invites knitters and crocheters to join our group of ladies who create shawls, lap blankets and baby blankets for the sick, elderly, homebound, in hospitals and hospice care. Prayers and blessings are offered for “the work of our hands” and for the comfort and healing of the recipients. We also make items for the annual Christmas Faire. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 9:30 am in the Parish Activity Center for about an hour and a half. Stop in to meet us on any meeting day. If a Monday is a holiday, we meet on Thursday of that week. We have lots of ideas and patterns to share and a helping hand with a project, if needed. Our members are of all skill levels, beginners as well as long-time crafters who share their knowledge with all. Contact: Diane Bukowski 978-885-0215 [email protected]
