U.R.A. NEWS Rodeo Listings: Keep checking the website for updated rodeo listings. There are more coming into the office at all times. MRCA first approved rodeos: All rodeos listed as MRCA first approved will be entered through the Central Entry System. There will be a $5 charge per contestant per rodeo for using the C.E.S. service. Also Team ropers note: if the MRCA rodeo does not list team ropers enter twice then you do you have the option to enter the heading and heeling at every MRCA first approved rodeo. Over Forty Calf Ropers: Note that the IRCA changed their rule this year and you can enter the Over Forty and the open calf roping at the same rodeo. At all URA first approved the entry fees are broken down this way: Into the payoff: $30 RS, $50TE, then $4 day money (to the fastest time or high marked ride of that performance) .50 to the secretary, .50 to the URA coat fund. $2 finals fund for each association. $2 incentive fund to extra added money in that event at the finals, $2 judges fee, $16 stock charge. Note that at Wright Rodeo Company rodeos they are only charging $12 stock charge in the rough stock events.

At rodeos with $500 or more added in each of the rough stock and steer wrestling events, The stock contractor has the option to allow (not mandatory) rough stock and steer wrestling to enter twice. All money won will count towards year end event standings, only the highest placing will count in the all around standings. This will not be a two header situation. Riders will be allowed to enter twice but not made mandatory. Points will be kept separate so a cowboy could win first and second at the same rodeo. This will be per event at the stock contractors discretion and must be listed on the approval form and listed ahead of time.
