FROM THE MUSIC ROOM-FOLK FEST SUCCESS!!! The combined Strummers Concert at Folk Fest on Saturday was a rousing success! I lost count on total attendance but by instrument count (they were all in use!) there were at least 42 Harborview Strummers and at least 65 Gastineau Strummers raising their voices strumming, picking, plucking and forging musical friendships with strummers from other schools! In addition to our two schools there were probably close to 60 students from other schools. There was a large group of parent and staff support from all schools, this helps make an event of such size possible! Thank You everyone for helping to make this happen! Students from both Gastineau and Harborview presented themselves as musical ambassadors to our greater community and we can all be very proud of them! ~Patrick Murphy, Music Teacher
