Required documents 1. Letter of motivation (1–2 pages). Mention your interests and achievements during your studies, and why you feel eligible for the ESOP. 2. Pre-proposal for your Master’s thesis Describe your prospective Master’s thesis project (incl. title, max. 500 words). The exact topic will be agreed with the thesis supervisor during the programme. 3. Two letters of recommendation from professors (in separate, sealed envelopes). If your desired Master’s programme also requires two letters of recommendation, no additional letters are needed. If the programme requires one letter of recommendation, only one additional letter is needed. 4. Copy of your transcript of records. Only applies to ETH students who intend to progress to a consecutive Master’s programme.
