The major activities in 2012-2013 rotated around coordinating CECA-related efforts with local organizations, in particular with US- and Canada-ICOM. Coordination with US-ICOM was pretty smooth and successful (e.g., per CECA request, US-ICOM introduced the possibility to select subcommittees directly on the renewal form; invitation to participate in ICOM-related activities at the annual American Alliance of Museum conference). One of the major issues for the US CECA membership is the coordination between the ICOM Paris database (35 members) and the one provided by US-ICOM (238 members). Synchronization between the two database is necessary and, hopefully, in progress. Coordination with Canada-ICOM proved much more challenging, due to extremely slow contacts and apparently lack of initial understanding of the role and structure of subcommittees by the Canadian ICOM representative. Submitted to the CECA board request to host the 2015 annual conference in Washington, DC, at the Smithsonian Institution (September 17th -22th).
