ANACAPA YACHT CLUB NOTICE OF RACE ANACAPA ISLAND SERIES 2015 This is a three race series with no throw-outs consisting of the Anacapa to Port race on May 2, the Platform “A” race on June 13, and the Wes Golemon Memorial (Anacapa to Starboard) on August 1. This series originally consisted of three Anacapa Island races and was the inaugural offshore event for AYC. We hope you enjoy the new improved format. The series winner’s names in each class will be inscribed on the beautiful Anacapa Island Series Trophy, which resides in the AYC trophy case. In addition, a new Wes Golemon Perpetual Trophy has been established for the Wes Golemon Memorial Race. Don't miss this challenging and exciting series. A true test of man and machine, not for the faint of heart. TIME & DATES:
Start at 1130 hours on Saturdays May 2, June 13, and August 1.
COURSES: Race #1 will start outside Channel Islands Harbor. Races 2 and 3 will start at the Mandalay buoy. Races 1 and 3 will take Anacapa Island to Port and Starboard, respectively. Race 2 will take Platform “A” to port. RC may use shorter course for non-spinnaker class. RULES:

RATINGS:
PHRF RLC area ratings will be used. RC may assign ratings for non-spin boats.
CLASSES: Class divisions will be established at the first skippers' meeting after all entries are received. Yacht club membership and PHRF certificate are not required for non-spinnaker entries. ORCA entries welcome. ENTRY: Entry fee is still a bargain at $80 for the series and $30 for individual races. Entries must be submitted before the skippers' meeting at 0830 the morning of each race. Series entries accepted before Platform A Skippers’ Meeting. SKIPPERS' MEETING: 0830 hours on the morning of each race, at the new Anacapa Yacht Club 2810 South Harbor Avenue Suite B-6 Oxnard, California 93035. SOCIAL: Steaming hot soup or chili and cold beer (and other refreshments) will be waiting for all racers at the clubhouse after each race. TROPHIES: Results will be announced after each race. Personalized trophies will be awarded for each of the first two races, as well as the series Trophies for the Wes. Golemon Memorial Race will be awarded at the Sunday Awards Breakfast on August 2.
