*Saturday, 9:45–11:00 AM: Volunteer Workshops: Alumni Engagement and Solicitation tips, tricks and new tools
We are excited to unveil two new tools to support volunteer engagement and fundraising efforts: Middlebury’s new volunteer fundraising portal and the Social Media M-Bassador program. We will engage students, staff and volunteers in a discussion of peer-to-peer solicitation strategies. We’ll happily address other questions and encourage audience participation. • Demonstration of our volunteer fundraising portal and our M-Bassador program. The goal is to familiarize everyone with our new tools and underscore the investment we are making in our ambassadors and volunteers. • Panel discussion with staff and student callers. How to begin conversations, frequently asked questions, overcoming objections. • Stump the Chumps! Active role play with audience. Students and staff responding to objections that volunteers have and/or have received from classmates.
