EXHIBITOR INFORMATION Transfers will be accepted and MUST be submitted to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Smoking is not permitted.

Qualifying scores are required for all awards.. “Dog” includes either sex. A trophy or prize of equal value will be substituted in the event that a specific trophy or prize is unavailable. All trophies and prizes must be claimed on the day of the trial; none will be mailed. Any unclaimed awards become the property of the host club.

Please be sure to clean up after your dogs at the show site! Exhibitors may arrive any time prior to their scheduled judging times. Dogs not required for further judging are free to leave.

A dark green qualifying ribbon and a dog toy (approximate $2.00 value) Will be awarded to each dog receiving a qualifying score in a regular obedience class.

Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for having their dogs ready to show and at ringside when it is their turn to be judged. If possible, any conflicts should be addressed prior to the start of judging.

Novice A exhibitors receive one gift bag per day.

All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or exercised. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, as well as any communicable diseases. All dogs on the show grounds should have appropriate vaccinations.

Mail all entries with fees to: Barb Bumcrots 2509 Seventh St, Maumee, OH 43537. Entries received without fees and/or signatures will not be accepted. Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as practicable after the closing date. All exhibitors will be sent a judging program and directions to the trial site by email or mail (if no email address provided). Should you not receive such acknowledgment within a reasonable time, please contact the Trial Secretary. Only legible email addresses will be sent a preliminary confirmation. Make checks and money orders payable to: Greater Toledo Obedience Training Club or GTOTC. Canadian exhibitors must make fees payable in US funds. Please mail checks or money orders with entries. The Trial Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Please submit separate entry forms for each dog entered in these trials. Post-dated and returned checks do not constitute valid entry fees. A $25.00 collection fee will be added to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.

Use separate entry forms for each dog entered. For multiple entries of the same dog, one entry form may be used, but only if the information is exactly the same for each trial entered. You MUST use separate entry forms if you are entering your dog in different classes in different trials. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. However, any exhibitor whose entered bitch is in season on the trial dates will be refunded all entry fees, minus $5.00 per entry, providing written confirmation from a veterinarian is submitted to the Trial Secretary no later than one hour before the beginning of judging on the day of the trial. Exhibitors with injured dogs who have been entered in these trials, but are unable to compete due to injury, will also be refunded all entry fees, minus $5.00 per entry, providing, written confirmation from a veterinarian is submitted to the Trial Secretary no later than one hour before the beginning of judging on the day of the trial.

DIRECTIONS TO THE TRIAL SITE From the North or South: U.S. 23/I-475 to Airport Hwy (S.R. 2), west to McCord Road (just after Springfield Mall), north to Kipling, west to Clarion, left to Toledo Kennel Club building. From the East: U.S. 20 to I-75, south to I-475, north to Airport Hwy, then as above. Ohio Turnpike to Exit 59, north on Reynolds Rd., west on Airport Hwy, then as above. From the West: Ohio Turnpike to Exit 52 (Toledo Express Airport), east on Airport Hwy (6.4 mi), north on Holloway Rd., bear right after RR tracks onto Front (becomes Clarion), continue to Toledo Kennel Club building.

If it is impossible to open or to complete the trials because of riots, civil disturbances, emergencies, extreme weather, or other acts beyond the control of the trial-giving club and trial committee, no entry fee refunds will be made. Owners are responsible for errors in filling out entry forms, regardless of who may make such errors, and no entry fees will be refunded in the event of such errors. No entries may be canceled after the published closing date. All changes, additions, or corrections to entries must be received prior to the close of entries.

Neither the trial committee nor the trial-giving club will be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog on the trial grounds, whether as a result of an accident or any other cause. It is clearly understood that every dog entered in the trial is in the care, custody, and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the trial premises.

(Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

(Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time the entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of the acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 11, Section 3). Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as “All- American Dog/Mixed Breed”. Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend, and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons.
