Air India Engineering Services Limited. (A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Air India Limited) Subject: - Recruitment of Experienced Aircraft Technician and Skilled Tradesmen in Upholstery and Painting trades from open market. Air India E n gi n e e r i n g Services Limited ( AIESL), is an Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and O ve r h a u l (MRO) Organization, approved by DGCA (India) under CAR 145, to undertake MRO activities in India. AIESL, invites applications from Indian Nationals fulfilling the requirements as on 1st June, 2017 to fill up the posts of " Aircraft Technician and Skilled Tradesmen in Upholstery and Painting Trades", on "Fixed Term Employment basis" (FTE). The selected candidates will be posted at Trivandrum, Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL, MRO) or any other station/MRO as required by the company. Selection and empanelment does not guarantee that the candidate will be appointed immediately. Release of candidates from the panel would depend upon the requirement of AIESL and decision taken by the company i n this regard. I. AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN 1. Number of Vacancies:

Reservation and concessions/relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen candidate would be as per Government Directives in this regard. 2. Eligibility Criteria as on 1st June 2017: AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from Institutions approved by DGCA under Rule 133 B with 60% marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Candidates from DGCA Approved AME Training Institute as per current list are w h o eligible. (Or) For Ex-servicemen Successful completion of Group 1 related equivalent qualification of Diploma in Engineering for Airframe/Engine/Electrical/Instrument/Radio trades conducted by the Indian Airforce, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination. (Or) Successful Completion of 4 years course / Diploma in Aircraft/ Electrical/ Instrument/ Radio Artificer conducted by Indian Navy, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the requirement for BAMEL examination. (Or)

Diploma in Engineering (3Years) in Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Radio Engineering or equivalent recognized by Central/State Government with 60% marks/equivalent grade ( 55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates). The candidates must have at-least 01 years Aviation experience post-qualification on B737-800 Aircraft Maintenance or B737-800 Aircraft components. 3. Age Limit: General Category - Not above 35 yrs. as on 1st June, 2017. OBC- Not above 38 Yrs. as on 1st June, 2017. SC/ST- Not above 40 yrs. as on 1st June, 2017. Ex-Servicemen- Upper age limit of 35 yrs. would be relaxed to the extent the candidate has served in a regular post in Army/Navy/Air Force before retirement/release or discharge from such post plus three years.

II. SKILLED TRADESMEN IN UPHOLSTERY AND PAINTING TRADES 1. Number of Vacancies

Reservation and concessions/relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen candidate would be as per Government Directives in this regard. 2. Eligibility Criteria as on 1st June 2017: Qualification: ITI in painting / Upholstery, issued by Govt. of India or KGTE / KGCE, issued by state Govt. with minimum 3 years work experience in aviation industry/airline post-qualification in painting/ Upholstery trades. 3. Age Limit: General Category - Not above 45 yrs. as on 1st June, 2017. OBC- Not above 48 Yrs. as on 1st June, 2017. SC/ST- Not above 50 yrs. as on 1st June, 2017. Page 2 of 9

III. EMOLUMENTS: (For Experienced Aircraft Technician and Trades Men in Upholstery and Painting Trades) Emoluments will be as per approved salary structure for Technician and will be approximately Rs. 20000/Per Month at the time of joining. The selected candidates would have a career p r o gr e s s i o n in the Company as per the approved career progression for Technicians in AIESL.

IV. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: Fixed term contract initially for a period of 5 years, extendable for further 5 years period at a time as per the requirements of the company and performance of the candidate.

V. SELECTION PROCEDURE Selection would be done on: ✓ Walk-In Interview followed by Trade Test ✓ Pre-employment Medical Examination. Candidates will have to bear the cost of the Pre-Employment Medical Examination(s), if may selected and offered appointed.

VI. GENERAL CONDITIONS

a) Candidates found suitable and shortlisted will be engaged on fixed-term contract basis for a period of 05

years. The contract may be terminated at the discretion of the Management during the tenure of the contract and/or in the event of unsatisfactory performance. The contract is extendable for further term of 5 years and upon satisfactory performance of the candidate and requirement of the company. The candidates will initially be positioned at THIRUVANANTHAPURAM till they obtain sufficient experience in maintenance activities/phase checks of B737-800NG aircraft and posted either at Thiruvananthapuram or to any outstation as per the requirement of the company. The job is transferable to any station in India, based on Company’s requirement. The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for housing accommodation at the place of posting. The Company, at its discretion, may assign additional duties, as and when required. SC/ST candidates who reporting for Walk-in Interview and residing beyond 80 kms. from the Walk-in Interview and not employed in any Government, Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Bodies, will be reimbursed second class to & fro rail / bus fare by the shortest route as per rules, on production of document of travel. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the laid down procedure eligibility criteria, prescribed for the post before reporting for Walk-in Interview. At any stage of the selection process, if it is found that the particulars furnished by the candidate in the Application Form or testimonials are incorrect / false or the candidate does not meet the Eligibility Criteria prescribed for the post, or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her application shall be summarily rejected without making any further reference.

VII. The walk in interviews will be held at Trivandrum on 28, 29 & 30th JUNE 2017 09:30 AM to 05:30 PM. The candidates may be required to stay back at Trivandrum for the interview incase of reporting of large number of candidates further incased of reporting of very large number of candidates the walk-in interview may be spread over subsequent dates one day extra so required depending upon the no of candidates appearing for walk in interview.

should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form. d) The candidates belonging to OBC categories, at the time of walk-in interview, must submit a self-attested photocopy of the Non-Creamy Certificate, recently issued by the Competent Authority, in the format as prescribed by Govt. of India. The Certificate, inter alia, must specifically state that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in civil posts and services under the Government of India. The Certificate should also contain the “Non-Creamy Layer” Clause. The Certificate produced by the candidates of OBC community should be as per the Central List published by the Government of India and not as per the State Lists. e) Applicants ordinarily domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 who are eligible for the upper age relaxation, must produce the Domicile Certificate to this effect at the time of Interview from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division, within whose jurisdiction the applicant had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. f) The applicant should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria as on 01 JUNE 2017. Other particulars furnished should be correct in all respects. At any stage of the Selection Process, if the particulars provided by the candidates in the application or testimonials supplied are found incorrect/false, or not meeting with the eligibility requirements prescribed for the post, the candidature is liable to be rejected and, if engaged, services terminated, without giving any notice or reasons therefor. g) Self-attested clear copies of the supportive documents in respect of Item Nos: 9, 10, and 12 of the Application Format must be submitted along with the Application. Self-Attested photocopy of the Caste Certificate should also be attached with the application, in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates only. h) Original certificates are required to be brought, at the time of walk-in interview, for verification purpose only, but should not be submitted/attached along with the Application.
