Welcome remarks
Action
The meeting started with the opening remark by the president, noting the historic meaning of the date as this is the inaugural AGM. The IAPMD was legally established on the 14th Of November 2013. The president also briefed members on how the IAPMD was established. She thanked the interim members who worked hard in establishing and running the association thus far.

Annual Report Presentation The president presented the annual report [see Appendix 1] including the summary of the academic activities organized by members of IAPMD

Audited Statement of Account The treasurer presented the audited statement account [refer appendix 2]. The current balance as of 31st August 2014 is RM33,909.57

Appointments of Auditors All members agreed to reappoint Prof. Dr Hairuszah Ithnin and Dr. Razmin Ghazali as the auditors for this term

Proposals and Motions 6.1 Dr. Manimalar Selvi Naicker from UM raised the proposal on Quality control of the report by providing a standard proforma of reporting and local data for subspecialty training. The president informed that there were a few Consensus Pathology Reporting proformas which have been published in Malaysian Journal of Pathology. She also informed that most histo laboratories are ISO 15189 certified. 6.2 Dr. Ibtisam Mohamad from HRPZII proposed that IAPMD should be the platform of any issues related with anatomic pathologist and bring the issues to the international level. Several issues are raised and documented; I. The disparity of ratio in the intake of medical doctors to undertake postgraduate education in anatomic pathology compared to surgical disciplines. II. Anatomic pathogists should have interest to be administrator so that they are not ‘put-down’ and ‘remain in the labs’

Amendments of Constitution 7.1 The fiscal year has been changed from 1st Jan – 31st Dec to 1st September – 31st August for every year. 7.2. There was no other amendments for the Constitution proposed

Advanced Planning for future AGMs In order to carefully plan the AGM/Scientific Meetings, the president proposed that advanced planning is necessary. After discussion, the following venues and the respective IAPMD members are chosen. If the occasions arises where the named person[s] are transferred out or no longer available, the pathologists working in the venue will take over the leadership in organizing the meeting

Wrap-up The meeting was concluded at 5.30 pm with words of thanks by the Chair to allow an induction ceremony for Life and newly graduated IAPMD members
