Accomplishment Report February 2014 ON WAGES: With the effectivity of Wage Order No. ARMM-15 which provides for an P18.00/day basic wage increase to all private sector minimum wage earners in the Region, thereby pegging the Minimum Wage at P25.00/day effective February 1, 2104, the Board prepared and finalized the draft of the Rules to implement the said Order and forwarded to NWPC-Manila for technical review. Having been reviewed by the Commission, the Board approved and signed the Rules Implementing Wage Order No. ARMM-15 on February 2014 and indorsed the same to the Office of the Regional Governor on February 2014 for approval of Regional Governor Mujiv S. Hataman. Hence approved, the Rules will immediately be published in a local newspaper for guidance of all concerned especially the workers and employers’ sector. The Board Secretariat held two (2) separate meetings on February 2014 respectively to discuss preparation of various reports required by DBM and other concerned agencies in ARMM including ORG. OTHER ACTIVITIES: 1. Distribution a total of seventy (70) copies of Wage Order No. ARMM-15 to different private establishments/companies in ARMM; 2. Issued a total of eight press release either in print and television interviews granted by Executive Secretary Laisa M. Alamia, Board Chairman Muslimin A. Jakilan, Wage Board Management Representative Haron U. Bandila, and Board Secretary VI Lilian Ruth C. Cabanban regarding the newly issued Wage Order No. ARMM-15 which will benefit all private sector minimum wage earners in the Region; 3. Counselled a total of fifteen (15) workers either walk-in and phone-in querries regarding the coverage of the New Minimum Wage Order and its effectivity including other monetary benefits. PRODUCTIVITY: 1. Conducted Technical Assistance Visits (TAVs) to five (5) retail establishments employing not more than ten (10) workers in Upi and D.O.S., all in Maguindanao to assist the management on how to improve their respective working environment and conditions of their workers. SUPPORT SERVICES: 1. Board Secretary VI Lilian Ruth C. Cabanban attended the Productivity Specialist Training Program held in Nanyang University, Singapore which started on February 16March 24, 2014; 2. RTWPB-ARMM was represented during the conference called by GSIS, regarding the Orientation and Hands-On Training on GSIS Electronic Billing and Collection System (eBCS) on February 18, 2014 at 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at GSIS Cotabato Branch Office, Gov. Gutierrez Avenue, Cotabato City.
