ON SOME QUANTUM-CHAOTIC SIGNATURES BASED APPROACH TO UNPREDICTABILITY IN NANO-ELECTRONIC STRUCTURES - STATE SPACE ENERGY APPROACH Josef Hrusak1, Milan Stork1, Daniel Mayer, Fellow of IEE2 1

[email protected], [email protected], [email protected] Keywords: State space energy, unpredictability, quantum-chaotic behavior Abstract. The presented contribution is motivated by some fundamental issues arising in nonlinear nanostructures such as Chua’s memristance effect, the Hall-effect or the famous Josephson effect. Some general features of three fundamentally different approaches have been investigated: A direct application of standard quantum-theoretic approach, a nonlinear model of classical mechanics based technique using an obvious analogy with double pendulum dynamics, and finally a newly proposed abstract state space energy based design method.

SHA-1 CRYPTOGRAPHIC ALGORITHM IMPLEMENTED ON FPGA Vasile-Gabriel IANA1, *Petre ANGHELESCU1, Gheorghe SERBAN1, Cristian-Iulian RINCU2 1 University of Pitesti, Department of Electronics, Computers, and Electrical Engineering, Romania 2 Military Technical Academy, Bucharest, Romania 1 [email protected], [email protected] *Corresponding author Keywords: Cryptography, Hash function, SHA-1, FPGA. Abstract: The SHA algorithm is one well-known and represents an important function in cryptographic systems used especially to assure data integrity and authenticity. Implementation on reprogrammable hardware structures is a solution that enables synthesis of algorithms in digital hardware modules that may operate at high speeds. In this work is being studied algorithm implementation of SHA-1, 24 bits on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) in order to obtain solutions to reduce the area of deployment. There are described constituent modules of the implementation and at the end of the paper are presented comparative results with other similar implementations.

PRNG REQUIREMENTS FOR CRYPTOGRAPHIC APPLICATIONS Marian CRE U1, Marin DRĂGULINESCU1 1

Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania 1 [email protected]

Keywords: PRNG, random, feedback register, significance interval, periodicity. Abstract: Cryptographic applications are based on keys for encryption and decryption processes, in order to protect the transferred information between trusted entities. Keys must be strong enough to resist in case of cryptanalytic attacks. Their properties are given by the key generator who is, most of the time, a PRNG (Pseudo-Random Number Generator). Depending on how difficult it is to predict numbers obtained from a generator output, encryption keys can get strong or weak. PRNG periodicity and speed are fundamental factors in the choice of the proper key generator.

PRACTICAL SYNTHESIS AND ANALYSIS OF ONE RC MODEL OF THE HALF-ORDER CONSTANT PHASE ELEMENT Plamen NIKOVSKI University of food technologies, Bulgaria email: [email protected]

Keywords: irrational impedance, continued fraction, lattice structure, constant phase element Abstract: An approach to the synthesis and realization of a simple RC model of constant phase element of order 1/2 is presented. The main point in the realization of the model is finding the rational approximation of constant phase element impedance function. In this paper, rational approximation is obtained by recursively obtained solutions of the quadratic equation. After considering the different structures and influence of tolerances on the accuracy of the impedance function, an eight section lattice cascade was constructed. The deviation between the theoretically and experimentally obtained magnitude and phase characteristics of such a circuit in the frequency interval 0,05÷1MHz did not exceed 1,0% and 1,2º respectively. Furthermore, it was found that the lattice network performance had impedance close to the expected one but in parallel with a capacity.

Keywords: data integrity, detection and error correction, Golay (23.12.7), error-correcting code, WSN, hardware and power consumption constraints, NI ELVIS II+, DE FPGA Board, LabVIEW Abstract: This article presents the prototyping of a Golay (23.12.7) Error – Correcting Code encoder and decoder using a FPGA. Golay (23.12.7) CODEC’s implementations were done using LabVIEW as CAD environment, having as hardware support NI ELVIS II+ platform equipped with DE FPGA Board. Efforts were focused on highlighting CODEC’s usability within WSN by making an assessment from hardware and power consumption constraints vs. data integrity points of view. Practical test results were over-satisfactory (i.e. the circuits work very well, the balance between typical WSNs constraints and usability/necessity of the CODEC was achieved) thus proving CODEC’s suitability for usage within WSNs, as a mechanism to ensure data integrity.

ARCHITECTURE OF THE INTERNET REAL TIME COMMUNICATION WITH THE VEHICLE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS SYSTEM Georg-Otto WAGNER, Continental Automotive GmbH Philipsstr. 1, 35576 Wetzlar, Germany and PhD at University of Piteşti, Romania Faculty of Electronics Communications and Computers [email protected]

Keywords: remotely real-time communication, electronic control units (ECU), Controller Area Network (CAN), Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST), Open Services Gateway initiative (OSGi) Abstract: This article presents an architecture of the Internet real-time communication with the vehicle electronic control units system. In order to communicate remotely with electronic control units connected to the MOST and CAN buses inside the vehicle, an OSGi-based architecture was proposed, whereby the MOST protocol was used for the internal client-server communication protocol.

EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE APPLICATION FOR THE STUDY OF THE C PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE Alexandru ENE FECC, University of Pitesti, Romania [email protected] Keywords: e-learning, adaptive testing, modular programming Abstract: This paper presents a C++ application for the study of the way of defining function header and calling functions, in the C language. The study is based on grid tests, that are random generated. The advantage of the automatic generation for the tests is that there is no longer need of a teacher to manually edit these tests. Also, each time we use this program, we shall experiment new tests. So, no one could learn by heart the correct results of tests (this could happen for the manually edited tests). The program allows also the possibility to generate new tests, taking into account the current mistakes made by the user, thus improving the efficacity of the educational process, so the C programming language could be better and faster learned by the user.
