Events promoting Social-Emotional Learning Through the Climate Committee and Advisory Periods, Social Emotional Learning was highlighted through events such as: Unity Week, our first ever Challenge Day, Day of Service, Not in Our School Week, and culminated in students showing appreciation for our custodial staff.

How do I sign up? Forms will be provide by your child’s 5th grade music teacher. They will guide them in making the best choice. Options are: • Band - Students will start on the instrument they played in 5th grade flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, baritone or percussion. Possible instrument switches to oboe, bassoon, saxophone, french horn, tuba, or percussion with support from the band directors. Private lessons may be needed. • Choir - for students who wish to sing and want to use their voices in an ensemble. • Orchestra - for students who play violin, viola, cello or bass.
Music Overview •
All classes meet the entire year, twice each week for 55 minutes.

Practice expectations: 15-20 minutes per day 4-5 days per week.

Students have three required evening performances throughout the year. Enrichment opportunities included Honor Band, Honor Choir, Honor Orchestra (after school), Jazz Ensemble (before school) and Acapella Club (lunch time).
