Thoysbot-Controller-HUD SETUP: Rez the HUD in world. Right click on the Hud, choose >>edit<<, then select the >>content<< tab. You will see 4 Note-cards in the HUDs Content: +++BotKeyList +++Group-LIST +++SoundUUIDS +++Botcommands

1.The Notecard +++BotKeyList Open The Notecard +++BotKeyList Enter the Bots Name then its Avatar key (UUID) in the next line You can enter in as many Bots as you like. The limit for a script-readable NC is around 250 Lines. EXAMPLE Structure for notecard +++BotKeyList Phil Linden 00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000000000 JohnDoe Resident '00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000000000 FriedaDoe Resident 00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000000000 That means you put the Bots name in one line and the Bots UUID (Avatarkey) into the next line. The spelling of the Bots name is not so important, but make sure the key is correct!! After you entered the correct data click save to save the Notecard.

2.The Notecard +++Group-LIST If you not want your bot to make group invites you can skip this step. Open The Notecard +++Group-LIST from HUDs Content Enter the Group name for the Display in the Dialog then the correct Group name like the Group is named in SL. EXAMPLE Structure for notecard +++Group-LIST Lots of Creative people Orange22 Maximillians Store Group MaxiMe Another SLEEP Artists and Makers CYXXUS The spelling of the first group name is not so important, but make sure the spelling of the second group name is correct (exactly matches the SL Group name)! You can enter in as many Groups as you like. Make sure that the bot has permissions to invite members in the groups you enter. As there is no way for an SL script to detect group membership. After you entered the correct data click save to save the Notecard.

3. The Notecard +++SoundUUIDS If you not want to add your own sounds you can skip this step. Open The Notecard +++SoundUUIDS You will see that we added all Viewer Sounds already. If you select one of these sounds in the sound menu your Bot will play it. Enter the Sounds Name then its Key (UUID) in the next line. You can enter in as many sounds as you like. The limit for a script-readable NC is 250 Lines. How to get the Sound UUID? You must have Full permissions on the sound you want to use. Open your inventory and find a sound file.(see also Picture1) Right click the sound file. Click on <>

Now you can paste that UUID into your Notecard. After you entered the correct data click save to save the Notecard.

4.The Notecard +++Botcommands If you not want to add your own commands you can skip this step. This notecard contains additional commands what are not so often used. You can also add your own commands there. Open The Notecard +++Botcommands You will see that we added a lot of bot commands already. If you select one of these commands in the your selected Bot will obey. Enter the Botcommands Name then the real command in the next line. You can enter in as many commands as you like. The limit for a script-readable NC is 250 Lines. EXAMPLE Structure for notecard +++Botcommands show the friend list. /friends show the current L$ balance of the bot. /balance buys the last selected object. /buythis The spelling of the Commands name is not so important, but make sure the command is correct!! © 2012 Maximillian Merlin

Now try to add these 2 lines to the list: Greeting /say Hello World After you entered the correct data click save to save the Notecard. Congratulations! You just added your first custom Command to your HUD!!! When you click it in the Dialog that appears under Other Commands button your bot will say „Hello World“.

5. Wear and use of the HUD Now take this Hud to your Inventory and wear it. Recommended Hud Points are Top Right (Default), Bottom Right, Top Left and Bottom Left. It will work on any other HUD points too but that is not recommended.. It should look like this now (Picture 2) :

The first step now is click the Select Button (5) and select a bot from the dialog. (Picture 3) .

The selected bot will be shown as a green text above the command panel. (Picture 4)

So the sequence is first to select a Bot then click the command. Once a Bot is selected, you can send commands without selecting him again. The green display always shows you the selected bot. If no Bot is selected you will see a red warning text on the display. (See Picture 4 and 4a)

Makes the avatar touch the object you selected last, by right clicking it.

Makes a group invite to someone. As no role key will be given the person will be subscribed to the Everyone role. Select a name from dialog then select a group. Groups are configured in +++Group-LIST notecard.

Makes the bot fly.

Makes the bot stand up.

Opens a Listener and makes the bot say the text in main chat, that you type You can type in Main chat on Channel 1.To protect you from sending unwanted messages to your bot you have to click again for each message. USAGE: /1 Text the bot shall say!

Makes the bot play an animation from the content of your HUD. Just drag some FULL PERM Animations into your HUD!

23.

Repeats someones animations. Select a name from Dialog.

24.

Stops repeating someones animations.

25.

Stops all animations.

6.2 The Movement Panel

Lets the Bot run as long as you hold mouse down on that button.(works together with Move FWD, LockFWD and LockBackwd ).

Toggle Bot run. To stop running click again.(works together with Move FWD, Move Backwd, LockFWD and LockBackwd )

Lets the Bot move forward as long as you hold mouse down on that button.

Lock Bot move forward. To stop click (8) Stopmove

FAQ: How do i find out the key of my Bot for the +++BotKeyList notecard ? Go near your Bot rez the Bot-Key-Scanner from the Hud Toolbox near your bot. Touch it ! A dialog should show you your bot. Click his name in the dialog. You now get is Legacy name and his Avatar key formatted in the correct way for your +++BotKeyList notecard in chat to copy and paste that. I have some sounds in my inventory, how can i make the Bot play them? See Step 3 of this Manual. I have some animations in my inventory, how can i animate the Bot with them? Just drag some FULL PERM Animations into your HUD! Then Select a Bot and click playanimation.
