A Time for Prayer and Reflection Pastor Tom “The Lord’s Prayer” in Unison Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Winona United Methodist Church Our Mission is to make and nurture Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

_________________________________________ Welcome! Let us open our hearts to the God of love and our hands in friendship to one another. If you are visiting with us, please request a Welcome Pack from an usher. Everyone is welcome to join us for fellowship time in the Parlor after the service. Today’s Altar Flowers were given by Anna McNamee, in loving memory of her mother, Helen Szkola, on her birthday.
Congratulations to first-time grandparents Cindy & Jerry Collins! Their son, Brian, and his wife, Carrie, had a baby boy, Noah Jameson, on April 24th. He weighed 9.3 lbs & is 22” long.
Thank you to everyone who helped last week with our Cook’s Night Off drive-thru dinner! We had several new volunteers and we appreciated your help! Thank you to everyone who purchased dinners; we made a little over $700 that will go toward the General Fund and some Preschool expenses. Our next drive-thru dinner will be on Wednesday, June 6th and the menu will be our ever-popular Million Dollar Pasta (similar to meat lasagna).
VBS registration begins today! Stop in the Parlor today and get registered. All adults & teens planning to help need to register, too. It’s VERY easy to do online – go to www.vbspro.events/p/46a009 to register as a participant or a volunteer! Hazel Circle’s Rummage Sale is THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY up at Hall Park! If you have any good, saleable items to donate to their sale, please plan to drop them off there on tomorrow from 9-6:30pm or Tuesday from 9-7pm. Remember, no TVs, children’s car seats, or Christmas trees. Wednesday at 9 a.m. they’ll begin setting up. Bring your masking tape and a marker and come help with pricing! Ladies – Join us tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the Parlor for our Hazel Circle Meeting – the last one before we take our summer break. Judy Richards is in charge of the program.
This Tuesday is our next “Shipwrecked” VBS Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Parlor. If you’re planning to help with VBS, please make every effort to attend. If you can’t, please let Michelle Scott know. While we continue to carefully monitor our finances, our General Fund is lower than we’re comfortable with. To help offset this, during May we’ll be having a “Double Tithe Sunday”. What do you give on a typical Sunday? Prayerfully consider doubling it, any Sunday during May. As you do this, think about what the church’s tithes & offerings do: ▪ Operates and maintains our buildings for ministry & worship. ▪ Provides funds & support for all the church’s ministry to fulfill our mission of making & maturing disciples for the transformation of the world. ▪ Supports our discipleship ministries by providing education to our congregation. ▪ Supports the missions & outreaches of the church.

Just place them in the box at the back of the sanctuary. If you are interested in replacing your flag, see Josh for information on ordering. We recently lost some email addresses in the computer. If you prefer a paper copy of our News Blast, some copies are available at each entryway.
