Brief / To Do: 1. Form a team + develop a design Teams should consist of two students only Choose one client each - a member of your family or a friend Choose two chairs from the selection of our chair files Create a hybrid from the two chairs, and develop one original design to make it unique to your client Develop a simple narrative for the chair, as well as several proposals for the design Sketch out your proposal, on paper and through quick sketch models Bring your ideas to the tutorial sessions. Keep them brief and focused! 2. Test ​elements​ of your design Prepare your 7s challenge incorporating a small part of your design to test This is likely to be a joint, or a texture - Do not attempt to make the whole chair! 3. Cut and assemble your chair Use what you learn from the 7s challenge to complete your design Draw, cut and assemble your finished project and submit it to us in the Project Space Rules 1.
