Purpose: No person shall, on the grounds of race, color, creed, marital status, national origin, political beliefs, sex or handicap, or ability to pay be submitted to discrimination under any program of the health department Policy:. It is the policy of Appalachian District to employee staff and to provide services to any client without discrimination or coercion of any type. Procedure: A. Client services 1. Services will be provided to any client presenting for services regardless of race, color, creed, marital status, national origin, political beliefs, sex or handicap, or ability to pay. 2. All services are provided solely on a voluntary basis and individuals are not coerced to receive a particular service. Acceptance of a particular service is not a prerequisite to eligibility for other program/service involvement or benefits. 3. The policy will be reviewed with staff to ensure continued increased awareness. 4. B District Employment 1. Applicants for employment shall be considered regardless of race, color, creed, marital status, national origin, political beliefs, sex or handicap. C. Justice for All 1. Required Justice for All signage is posted in the lobby of all health department facilities and in WIC offices.
