Scho~ Year 2016-2017, the following are hereby reiterated:

1. The 2017 gradu tion rites shall focus on the theme: "Sabay-sabay na Hykbang Tungo sa Mau lad na Kinabukasan"

2. In line with th government's austerity program, public schools are NOT ALLOWED to ollect any graduation fees or any ' kind of contributibns for graduation rites. However, school principals/ heads may charge from the !MOOE only necessary nd reasonable graduation expenses: The graduation ~ubsidy provided by the City Government shall be incorporat:ed in the total graduation expenses of ea~h school in compliance with accounting and auditing regylations. Attached is the remorandum Circular for reference. 3. Checking of Ho~ors is on I)/larch 6- March 13, 2017 ~Y the Principals In-Charge in Mathematics pf the Congressional District. LikewisE(, the c~ecking of forms of the graduating ~tudents will start on March 15, 2017 and will end on March 31, 2017 by the SufiVisors assigned as Confirmer during lthe graduation rites. 4. The format of th graduation program, the conduct of ~ommencement exercises, the suggested s ript for the Master of Ceremonies, pre;sentation and confirmation of graduates ar enclosed for reference purposes. 5. Immediate diss mination of this Memorandum to all concerned is desired.

For schools without covered court covered courts, gra uation programs shall be held early enough to avoid exposure of th~ graduates and audience to th~ extrem~ heat .of the sun and shall no~l exte~d up to or beyond lunch t1me or dmner t1me. However, for schobls w1th covered courts and halls, graduation may be done any time of the day between /1 7:00a.m. to 5:00pm.

In the processi;nal, the lowest section shall enter first, dccupying the last rows of the seats and highest section to enter last odcupying the front rows of the seats. After all the other graduates have ehtered, graduates with honors together with their parents shall enter and take the seats reserved for them, in front of the stage.

1.7.

The master of .c.eremonies should officially acknowledge the presence of guests, government officials, and PTA officers before the graduating class is presented . In no case shall the numbers of the program be interrupted to announce the arrival of late guests. They shall be acknowledged after the Pledge of Loyalty of the graduates.

1.8.

The master of ceremonies should strictly follow the script for the graduation 'program . No unnecessary ad-libs.

No intermission numbers (songs, dance numbers, etc.) should be included in the program .

1.12. The respeetivEt"ciEiss advisers shall call out from a prepared list the names of the graduating pupils, first as they go up the stage to receive their diplomas.

1.13. Only academic awards for the graduating honor pupils shall be given during the graduation program. Other awards nd prizes including scholarships from NGOs shall be awarded during the Recognition Day Program . 1.14. Rehearsals of the parts of the graduation pro , ram, particularly the processional, going up and down the stage, recJiving of diploma and recessional shall be held a week before graduation Classes should not be disrupted for this activity. 1.15. Graduation rites in the Elementary Schools shall be n Filipino. 1.16. Nobody shall sit on stage, Division Officials and g ests shall occupy the seats in front of the stage. 1.17. The Salutatorian/Second Honors shall lead he prayer and the Valedictorian/First Honors shall deliver the V ledictory address or Farewell Remarks. The speeches should be edite~ and not longer than four (4) paragraphs and should be written in Filipino

1.18. The foregoing reminders should be disseminated to all parents, teachers and graduates.

2. Drafts of the graduation programs are due in the Scho Is Division Office for dhecking by Dr. Rodolfo F. De Jesus, Education Progra Supervisor, a week drior to graduation. The program shall only be a one-page printed or ~imeographed materials and should be in Filipino. The I st of graduating pupils Jhall be included in the school paper inserted in the gradu tion program. 3. l nly the Secretary of Education, the Mayor and the Condressman of the district of their representatives shall deliver messages. Other gdvernment officials and guests may be invited to distribute diplomas and shake hahds with the graduates as they descend the stage.
