For the graduating high school seniors to qualify for the scholarships, the candidates must either be 1) pursuing a Petroleum Engineering Degree or 2) the Son or Daughter of a current SPE Member and enrolled in a math or science program. SPE has distributed these scholarships since 1998 and the program has been a huge success. We need your help in finding talented young people. Successful candidates will exhibit superior communication skills and display ability in math and the sciences. The awards will be distributed when the recipient is registered and declared as a full time college freshman in an accredited university. Applications must be received by April 1st. Candidates will be notified by May 2nd of their application status. An awards luncheon will be held on Thursday May 19th at the monthly SPE Luncheon in Oklahoma City.
